"We recently dined at the Golden Moments during a long weekend stay in the charming surroundings of Ludlow. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted and shown to our tables. Our drinks and poppadoms served promptly. The service was splendid and the waiters very courteous. Once our starters were served we immediately asked that we be given a twenty minute break between courses given the rather large portion sizes. The starters were full of flavour especially the chilli chicken I'd ordered which I'd highly recommend (but not for the faint hearted). Our Main courses (Jingha Chilli Bhuna) followed suit with the extremely well balanced flavours. Having eaten a starter of epic proportions and a main course we had no room for dessert but couldn't help having a peek at the dessert list which happened to be the only glitch as I may have been tempted by some kulfi which they do not serve. I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning during our visit for the Ludlow Food Festival."

"The food was fine, to be honest it was pretty basic, I didn’t feel like it was worth the amount we paid for it as it could have been made at home, there was nothing special in the sandwiches, the cakes were dry and the scones felt like they were from a packet and warmed rather than freshly made. There was no music or anything so much as the room was lovely it was really quiet and there wasn’t much ambience. The waiters were lovely, so our rating isn’t a reflection on them at all, just the quality of the food and the ambience."

"We went to Mortimers to celebrate my partner's birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, high quality and presented beautifully. I just wished we lived closer as we'd be regulars here. "Last Friday our family held a gathering of 23 at the Green Cafe. This was a large group for them to cater for but they did a grand job. The arrangements beforehand were straightforward and practical. On the day they were welcoming and accommodating although we turned up with extra people (including one of the five children). The food they prepared for us was first rate. We had a Greek restauranteur with us who praised the moussaka in particular. Our biggest problem was that everyone was having such a good time in the end we had to gently point out they were staying open for us and they had homes to go to!"
