Contribute FeedbackNestled in a charming market town, The Feathers offers a varied dining experience that ranges from commendable to underwhelming. While some guests revel in delightful dishes like rich mushroom soup and perfectly cooked roast beef, others find the food disappointingly basic or inauthentic, with issues such as dry cakes and pre-packaged scones. The ambiance, often lacking musical accompaniment, can feel quiet and sterile. Service quality is inconsistent, with some staff displaying warmth and courtesy, while others exhibit a need for further training. Despite the mixed reviews, the restaurant seems to hold potential, appealing to those seeking a cozy dining atmosphere.
My mother to the afternoon tea. Really disappointing and very expensive. Very rough waitress and quality of food was very bad. Restaurant was not very clean and several dogs in the restaurant. Not worth the money
The restaurant food was very nice, however too expensive. Also the choice of food was too small, and some items were already unavailable despite being seated at 6.30pm. Breakfast was also served in this restaurant in the morning. The food was good but the service was poor due to being understaffed.
Very disappointing experience in an iconic building. Restaurant was uncomfortably cold. Food mediocre at best. Overpriced and very poor value for money.
We had a fantastic dining experience. The staff was welcoming and attentive from the moment we walked in until we left, without being overbearing. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of our meal.
The food was fabulous and the staff were friendly and helpful. All three courses that we had were amazingly good.
