"I have visited this restaurant twice in 2 weeks, it was so good. This is a Couscous & Tagine restaurant. It's owned by a husband and wife team, as most French restaurants are. The wife is French and the husband is Algerian, so the dishes are very authentic. I visited at night, so have not tried the daytime formula. The Couscous portion are huge, so go hungry. I tried the Couscous Royal, the skewered meats. Husband tried the Tagine, all 3 are excellent. Food is served piping hot also. The menu is small, but with good choices. The owner is very friendly and happy to explain any dishes to you. Found on the main road into Mayenne, this is a lovely restaurant, with delicious food"

"Le cadre est formidable, le restaurant et sa terrasse très agréables et la cuisine est bonne mais dans l'ensemble, les prix sont un peu trop élevés pour la prestation. Des plats qui se veulent raffinés mais l'équilibre des saveurs n'est pas toujours très juste, la quantité parfois un peu légère et un sérieux manque de convivialité : au téléphone comme sur place, la patronne n'est pas très aimable et trop peu souriante. Point positif : un excellent café servi en fin de repas !"

"Small restaurant that doesn't pay for a mine with regulars and serves a homemade cuisine with rich and delicious servings. Ambiance good kid. Friendly, friendly and forward-looking staff. I fell on a noon where the Christmas menu is. I ate very well because the entrance, two main dishes (yes, 2 dishes) and an iced dessert. Excellent value for money. To be recommended if there is a passage in the area."

"This restaurant looked as if it had gone out of business when we looked at it da out 5.30there were signs of activity coming up,to 7 p.m. And we had a lovely meal served in pleasant surroundings at a reasonable price. Staff were most professional."

"Overall its all good. Food could be lil bit more refined. Sausage traditional meal was boring and presentation was nowhere near what they show on the menu.. its ok for quick lunch but defo wouldnt go for dinner.."

"This lovely hotel with its private, gated, car park in the centre of Mayenne, offers ideal accommodation. Comfortable rooms and nice bathrooms, quiet (despite the hotel's position on a town crossroads), with a contemporary lounge bar and attractive conservatory dining room. The food was marvellous: delectable terrine (the chef's mother's recipe), lieu (pollock, similar to hake, but more delicately flavoured), beautifully presented and absolutely wonderful, and delicious desserts. The chef helped us choose personally, translating to English anything we didn't understand. The wine list was phenomenal a book! We chose a modestly priced Touraine wine, but you could really splash out here. Recommended, especially for the food but if you want to dine, whether staying here or not, you must book."
