"I’d heard a few good comments about this place so had high hopes. Training issues ! Big thumb print on the end of my knife. Not once did the waiter talk to me, just my very attractive wife. Food, first salad was really nice, just had very tired lettuce in it where it had obviously been pre prepared on mass. Went for a pasta base salad next but couldn’t eat it as it had diced cheese in it, which hadn’t been mentioned on the menu ! Opted for the rice which was full of flavour but dry as a bone. Only noticed after we had finished it that other tables with this dish were given garlic mayonnaise. Ribs in a bbq sauce. Really well cooked even if the sauce wasn’t homemade, it was very fulfilling both in flavour and quality. As we are both lactose intolerant, dessert is always a challenge and opted for a lemon mousse, which was I fear from a packet and not so good. Service was ok for most of the time until we had finished eating. Trying to get the bill paid took too long."

"Arrived in Xativa Friday afternoon and just wanted a quick drink whilst waiting to book into our accommodation. The young man and his father that run this place are such nice people! The young man (sorry don;t know his name) showed us around the place and explained what the restaurant was before they took it over. We were so impressed, we returned to eat our evening meal there. We were not disappointed the food is fantastic! We can recommend the suckling pig or manos de ministro, both meals were very tasty. Can't wait to visit again next year!"
