"Very friendly girl behind the bar, I had the Surf and Turf, true to their name. Big steak, the Shrimp are not Jumbo. Grilled Asparagus would go great with this dish instead of their House Veggies. Hence only 4 stars. PS very nice presentation..."

"Great food, friendly staff and affordable prices! Called in the Miltons Tap on a Monday afternoon whilst visiting Buxton and we were really impressed with the food and service we received. They offer a 5.95 lunch menu if you are looking for a cheap lunch but I went for a pie of the day with trimmings which was also excellent value. To top it off the desserts were great too, would definitely visit again when next in Buxton."

"On Friday evening I had a chicken parmigiana, which was very tasty and also the garlic brot was crispy. marjorie had the thai chicken curry and rob had the same as me, but I can't remember what denise and john had also the staff were friendly to us and the service was fast."

"Lovely restaurant just called in on Sunday for lunch. You could just drive by but I'm certainly glad we called in for dinner. The fillet steak was delicious and the sea bass was lovely too.. Thank you to all the staff who were very attentive. I was so impressed with the railway carriage, we sat 1st class and got 1st class service. Well worth a visit and we will certainly be visiting again soon."

"Fantastic eating great atmosphere and very family friendly. everything we ate tasted extremely fresh. the beginning of the day with some of the best fish I ever had. I don't eat tonne seafood, but enough I can tell the difference between something frozen and something fresh and that was definitiw fresh. we have two small children (the two are well-natured) and they were extremely courteous. instead of looking at them getting some paints to bring children into a restaurant, the hostess and waitress seemed really welcome for children. we were here on the outer banks in the next season, but this restaurant was still full of what looked like locals/regulars, which is always a good sign when eating in a touristic opposite. itl was a very friendly environment."
