"Restaurant au centre du petit village charmant de Lagrasse. Bonne cuisine avec des produits frais mais le chef cuisinier est un tyran !! On l'entend hurler sur les serveuses durant tout le service et il met sa musique à fond (chansons de concert live). Le restaurant qui est bien décoré nous transforme le repas en amoureux en triste spectacle, les serveuses s'excusent pour le dérangement mais c'est tous les clients qui sont désolés pour elles !.. Les prix sont un peu élevés par rapport aux plats"

"Very good value quality price! Excellent reception. Some dishes that taste! From crossing this small village, the map has made us want to stop. Beautiful small terrace with flat menu option dessert or entrance/plat~plat/dessert. An address that deserves its positive comment!"

"I rarely write negative reviews, but feel I have to this once: we went to Le Bastion on a very hot evening in mid-August. The a/c was barely working and the main room was swelteringly uncomfortable; we were in a heatwave so can't blame the restaurant for not being prepared, but we were surprised, given the quality and price of the restaurant. It took half an hour for us to be served out first course, and, in all that time, not once were we asked what wine we wanted. Sommelier finally came over after we'd already had our appetizers (no apology offered). We decided on the set wine pairing as by then it was too late to discuss the wine list. The main course arrived one hour after the first course, and an hour and 30 minutes since we'd first been seated (no apology offered again): no joke, I checked my watch. My husband had ordered the four course menu while I'd ordered the three course menu, so perhaps that explains some of the delay, but, surely a 1.5 hour wait for the first two courses is not acceptable at a restaurant of this quality, which offers only set menus and requires reservations in advance. Dessert came a bit more quickly. I'd like to stress that the food was all of the highest quality. Some of the wine was good, some of it was mediocre. I wish this restaurant all the best for its future, and hope that this was just a once-off bad night, perhaps they are short staffed in the summer. But, if decent service, and a pleasantly cool room, and responsive staff, are important to you, then I'm afraid I'd advice that you give this otherwise worthy restaurant a miss."

"There's been a restaurant on this site for at least 25 years, and it has the best location on the Promenade for al fresco dining. Many items have been on the menu for years, e. g., the salad with gesiers [gizzards] and the antipasta selection being particularly attractive. A hamburger with foie gras and French fries has been added recently, and I thought it was a delicious variation. I'll order it again. In its present incarnation, with a new chef and patron, it's a vast improvement over its early days."
