"I have been to this restaurant twice within a month and I can't speak more highly about it! First you walk into the door and see a huge display or amazing looking desert then you get your menu and Do not Miss Out On the BEST Garlic Knots around! Be sure to post your location on Facebook to get the garlic knots free! Ask for ranch to dip and they are ever better! The veggie pizza was good but better with the ranch too. We also enjoyed the Italian sub though I have to admit it was different than what I was used too. But the real winner here is the manicotti! The ricotta filled pastas were so good that I can't wait to have them again! The red sauce is very good and not overly sweet like some competitors. My husband had thw create your own pasta and got fettuccine alfredo witj Italian sausage and he loved it! My grandmother got meat lasagna and also loved it. Basically what I am saying is pasta is the way to go! The pasta dishes were far superior to any Olive garden dish! The carrot cake was also very good and moist and I would absolutely order it again! The restuarant is clean as well as the restroom. I also had GREAT service both times I went to Sals, the waiter is from the country of Paraguay and we got lucky having him both times and he is really friendly and genuinely cares about his tables and not just tips! He is very personable and goes our of his way to ensure a great dining experience. The only opportunity I saw at Sals is the table cloths were a bit too long for the tables and could create a tripping hazard mainly for the elderly. I had to take extra caution helping my grandmother out of the booth."

"My date took me to eat at Remini's and it was not what we had anticipated. We were both quite disappointed in our entire experience. The wait staff seemed disorganized and the menu had minimal choices to chose from. When my seafood pasta primavera came the fettucini noodles overwhelmed my plate with only 4 shrimp and 6 scallops. It was not good and for the price my date paid for my meal it was not worth it. I would not recommend this resturant to anyone."

"Visited Thai Continental during our stay in Roanoke and we were really pleased! We have some picky eaters in our family but they had something for everyone on the menu. We ordered the vegetable egg rolls and edamame as an appetizer which were delicious. For entrees we had the tofu soup, fried rice, and drunken noodles with tofu. Dessert was mochi and sticky rice with coconut custard. Overall, great service and food! I would absolutely go back next time I’m in town."

"Ok. I never gush or go over the top about many things BUT this place is THE Place to eat. The starter plate of ribs are unique and superb. Entrees were perpared, plated, and served with a Cool, Hip touch. And speaking of cool if you are lucky and get to meet the owners you will understand why The River And Rail even though not an Itailian joint is my #1 Roanoke restaurant"
