"We had a lovely server and the best meal! The cheeseburger was comparable to a fav we loved from San Diego. The steak and frites was cooked to perfection with delicious seasoning. Overall beautiful experience. We’ll definitely stop in again."

"We have been twice in the last 2 weeks ... which describes how much we love Metro 8. The porcini mushroom noodles are my favorite along with steak and tuna. The vegetables are always so fresh and cooked perfectly. The salads are crispy and properly dressed and the wine list is huge and delicious. Perfect for dates, girls' nights or special occasions. Correctly priced for the top quality food you get. Better steaks than Angus Barn, better pasta than Maggianos and much cheaper. The terrace is our favorite dining space, but the tables inside are super romantic. We will no doubt be back soon. Great service, fantastic atmosphere, top bar and wine list and food in the region to celebrate small business ... all my favorite things! Parking is so much easier than downtown Durham and we love the taste of 9th Street. The desserts are fantastic and the coffee is delicious."

"....I thought it would be a great treat for my family adults a and a year old . Had not been there before. The food was cold bacon, pancakes, sausage and other also. There was only different kinds of fruit,Chilled Seafood Display ..............what was that a bowl of shrimp . Entrées the web site said there would be prime rib and that is what I would expect with the prices we paid. No eggs benedict, no other entrees to speak of. What they had was carved turkey yes I said carved turkey. The Country ham was cut so thin that you could not taste it. Desserts Assorted Southern Pies there was no assortment of pies there were only about different things and they were not that good not only to me but to others around us. Half eaten plates of food on tables. My experience there was not good. the bill of plus a tip was not worth it. The service was great but the food and the noise level was very loud. We will continue to look for Sunday brunch at other downtown places."

"I really had a tough time with Husk. I wanted to love it...I liked it. Nice old house turned into restaurant, great gardens. Waiter seemed disinterested about our presence and experience during most of our service. Oysters were amazing, NY strip and sides were underwhelming. Wife enjoyed shrimp and grits had rich and creamy prep with poached egg yolk. Cocktails were tasty. Overall service poor - food just above average - ambience good. (Maybe an off night) I judge my dining happiness based on my desire to return to a restaurant, I'll try it again but I'm not in a hurry."
