"I wish I could give this place a better score, but last night's experience left me so underwhelmed- bland, overpriced curry with small portions! Arrived here on a busy Friday night, service was ok, but things went down hill from the poppadoms. They tasted stale and as though they'd been cooked in rancid oil. I've eaten at many Indian restaurants in Perth and this place was sadly just so below par, not to mention extremely over priced, especially for the small servings they give you. I ordered the Lamb Saag, and a friend ordered the paneer saag. When they came out it appeared the sauce had just been added to the lamb, and then same sauce to the paneer- I.e not cooked together. The sauce was a strange bright green colour that I've never seen before in a saag. Another friend ordered the fish curry which came in a really runny sauce. Overall the food was very bland and expensive. I don't understand because Two Fat Indians is pretty much next door -and for the same...

Beware if you order the tapas, they won't bring your mains out immediately. Until you finish your tapas, they don't bring out the mains. Also I feel the tables are very close to each other and we really don't have our little space once sitted inside the restaurant. Another good idea would be if the tables are numbered so staff know where they are going in terms of delivering food and drinks to each table. But attentive staff to cater your needs and a wide selection of food to choose from the menu. Also since it's Mt Lawley, parking is a big issue. Also this restaurant doesnt do walk_ins since they are always booked out on Saturday night. Good idea to make a booking before coming here."

"Mashawi has an authentic Moroccan menu that is entirely different to just about anything else on Beaufort Street. To try Mashawi - you need to be prepared to try new things - and you wont be disappointed. For my first visit it was all about the Falafels, as well as the Spinach cigars, and the Tagine of Chicken, Olive and Potato. It was mouth-watering, and it was amazing. For my 10 year old son ... it was a tall Banana and Fig smoothie. This place has wonderful service, truly inspirational food, and waiters wearing cute little Fez hats. My best find for 2016!"

"The food was astonishingly tribble to start with. A very thick uncooked minced meat kebabs. Almost my whole dish was left over. The manager clearly and intentionally makes advantage of people's trust. The prices on the menu differs from what he eventually bills you for, and when you realise this difference you know what? He says oh yeah ... that is a typo mistake on the menu. Imagine typos in prices printed on a restaurant's menu!!!! This is an obvious intentional rip off. If you notice it, he will say oh .. that is a typo, and if you just pay the bill he has ripped you off. And unfortunately many people just pay the bill and do not notice the intended rip off."

"This is our go-to place for food. For a while we went every week. We have, at times, driven a half hour out of our way just to stop in for a kebab, and we don't live close. I always get falafel with the lot. Garlic and sour cream. Yum. My partner gets the same, but with chicken. Anybody who has falafel a lot will know that it can often be grainy, floury, or really bland. These falafel are consistently great.<br>
This place makes its own kebab bread, which is just too good. I'm hungry just thinking about it!! Definitely try this place."
