"Used to be a lovely restaurant with great ambience and beautiful food. Sadly, the ambience is still there, but with departure of previous chef the food has really gone off.Recent meals have arrived looking and tasting sad like regular 'pub food' with no 'flair' or presentation, unlike 12 months ago. The management seems oblivious to complaints by patrons and unwilling to respond. With so many restaurants in this area, patrons will certainly move on for better value, quality and service."

"Rainy Saturday morning, my roommate and I were trying to decide whether the uncovered walk to our breakfast destination was worth it.. Until we realised that Stables does breakfast! We weren't quite sold until the lovely waitress popped her head out and greeted us. We felt so welcomed by her that we knew we'd have breakfast here. I had a tea however my friend raved about the coffee. We each ordered the Punters breakfast and my friend asked if she would be able to swap one element of the breakfast out for salmon. The waitress was so accommodating and it was no trouble. The meal was huge, and absolutely everything on the plate was fantastic. Even though we don't particularly like haloumi, it was exceptional. Really amazing work and it was a very reasonable wait time. It was a really nice atmosphere for breakfast- not loud and busy but not dead quiet either. So hard to find that of a Saturday morning, but maybe we haven't been looking hard enough ;) I really do want to thank our waitress, I wish I'd gotten her name. Her service was so natural, friendly and professional. Made the experience just perfect. We will be back!"

"The last time I reunited with Thai food was around a month ago Considering I don't have Thai food often, I thought it'd be nice to rediscover those flavours again, especially when I have a dining companion joining me : <br/ <br/ Table reserved for 2 people at 7:30pm majority of the seatings inside were full. The alfresco area seemed relaxing, with the heater on and the natural breeze it was the perfect environment. <br/ <br/ The menu offered a vast selection of soups, curries, rice and noodle dishes, seafood and the list just went on. We decided on the Banana Leaf Chicken, Thai Lamb and a bowl of White rice to share. <br/ <br/ Food came to the table reasonably quick The Thai Lamb was delightful, meat was soft and each piece I had was filled with flavour (salad was really fresh too . The chicken was slightly on the drier side, but to compensate that, the side sauce made it quite enjoyable (I liked the lemongrass taste it had . <br/ <br/ My dining companion and I both preferred the Thai Lamb over the Banana Leaf Chicken. Service was quick, nice experience accompanied by friendly staff : <br/ <br/ Thank you That Thai!"

"I went here on the weekend, totally worth it. TFGCAB just opened up a month ago if anyone's curious as to why there aren't that many reviews, so I can gladly confirm that this place is great. Convenient location, affordable and just like the staff that work there, the food is equally as delicious"

"Best authentic Italian restaurant in Brisbane. Located on the busy Kingsford Smith Drive, with parking available in side streets/ signed parking area for the restaurant. As soon as you close the front door you can't hear any traffic or current roadworks. <br/>Dated tables chairs but very comfortable to sit on (like visiting an Italian Nona's home) .Restaurant updated since I was last here.<br/>Food great value for money fresh. Good serves service.<br/>Pizzas are fantastic. Takeaway also available.<br/>We had a group of 12, celebrating a birthday. One waitress for the whole restaurant was run off her feet. There were also several other tables occupied. <br/>If we asked the waitress for something, she was able to accommodate us without any problems. She even arranged sparklers for the cake took a group photo of us all.<br/>Will be returning in the future- my favourite Italian restaurant"

"SHOCKING Saturday night (16.4.16) dining experience for a Portside Wharf restaurant. Food was ok and staff member was friendly BUT by 9.10pm sweeping of the floor began around our table (while we were half way through our meals). I asked the staff member if they wanted us to leave because they were sweeping the floor (a no -no in dining hospitality). The sweeping then stopped. Then at 9.25pm while we were still finishing off our meal - the bill of $218 came to our table but none of our party (4 of us) even requested the bill at this stage and we were still finishing our meal. After 9pm the lights also kept diming... Was this a signal to customers? We could not finish our meal as the whole experience was quite upsetting. We asked to speak to a manager/owner but staff did not seem to care - no apology was offered and they indicated that the and said that the Owner is not in the restaurant. It was our first (and last) experience - a decision to go because of ratings on Tripadvisor - my worst dining experience ever in brisbane. The restaurant was shut by 9.30pm! Was there a function all staff needed to go to?? Or do they need a attend basic hospitality course !!??<br>
Definitely not recommending this place to anyone!<br>"

"Good range of breakfasts although I haven't been back since they took my favourite meal off the menu (Turkish delight: Turkish toast, feta, and tomato. Doesn't sound like much but it's the best savoury breakfast I've Almost ever had). Lunch pastas are fantastic also. Just wish they had a range of meals such as salads for pickier eaters as I think some Greek food is acquired so it's hard to come with a group of people and find something for everyone. Great location, although very hard to find a park often... even on side and back streets. Brilliant service, love the decor and atmosphere. Best coffee (fonzie Abbott - simply brilliant) and good food."
