"Wir waren da um eine Tischreservierung abzugeben und nachzufragen, ob es an Feiertagen Pizza gibt. Bereits hier fühlt sich der Kunde als würde er stören! Als Stammkunden wussten wir mit der "besonderen Art der Dame des Hauses" umzugehen und das es an Feiertagen nicht immer Pizza gibt - da wohl der Koch dann auch frei hat (gerade an Feiertagen, hm seltsam!?). Die Freundlichkeit hinter der Theke war dann leider nicht vorhanden! Schnippische Antwort der Chefin: "ja, klar gibt es Pizza!" Okay fein, Reservierung getätigt und unsere Bekannten informiert das es am Tag X Pizza gibt. Wer jedoch denkt das dann alles reibungslos vonstatten geht der irrt gewaltig.Die Pizza gab es dann leider doch nicht und auch alle anderen Gäste wunderten sich, das es keine Pizza gab obwohl in der Speisekarte aufgeführt war. Toll, wenn man sich ein Gericht aussucht und dann die Chefin verkündet: "Feiertags gibt es hier nie Pizza!" Ein gemeinsames Essen ist somit nicht möglich. Zu allem Überfluss war die Chefin des Hauses der Meinung, wir hätten das ja bereits bei der Tischreservierung gewusst - es folgte ein kleines Wortgefecht und wir wurden dann noch vor versammelten Gästen lautstark als Lügner abgestempelt! Unter Berücksichtigung aller Punkte ist der eine Stern hier absolut nur für das Essen selbst gerechtfertigt. Zumindest der Kellner war sehr freundlich. Wir als (ehemalige) Stammkunden sind bitter enttäuscht von dem Verhalten ..."

"At the beginning of this year I had invited old friends to this restaurant, which is located in a beautiful location on the Rhine directly north of Bonn and overlooks the river and its islands. I had not visited for a few years, but was previously regularly a guest when it was a popular destination for lunch and dinner with its traditional but comfortable premises and its excellent menu with a variety of dishes. So it was with great disappointment that I found the cozy quiet rooms that were converted into a very large and impersonal dining hall, where the lack of furniture and the low ceiling made for so high noise level that conversation was quite difficult. The selection of dishes was very limited, although the steak we chose was well and perfectly prepared. The desert menu was completely forgotten, so we did not stay longer than necessary rather a sad result, which should have been a cozy and pleasant lunch experience. I should add that there were no facilities for the disabled. The restaurant could only leave the building (steps) and the way down to the nearby hotel building, which a waiter had to unlock for us, all that makes it mild is not helpful."

"We were there spontaneously today and we were surprised by the good quality of food. My wife had ordered a funny bosinak and I had a barbecue plate. Both were very tasty. Friendly staff and very attentive. Moderate prices,you get quality at a fair price. We'll definitely be back."
