"Very good prices, the restaurant was almost empty, the food came quickly (spare ribs and cheese noodles, big portion!), the taste was good. The service was also good. I am sure I would like to come back."

"We went to try out the ribs as we're looking for the best ones in Bucharest. Unfortunately the ones from Shift are just mediocre. Other than the fact that they are absolutely huge, there's not much to praise as they taste oven baked and don't have the barbeque feel. Big plus for the cosy garden though the tables are super crowded and you will hear everything from the other tables. The staff is very friendly and quick with the order and the lemonade was absolutely delicious. Will go back to try the pasta as we heard good things about it."

"While vacationing in Bucharest we came across this lovely restaurant in Old Town. We were seated promptly and our waiter, Vicentiu was awesome. I will have to say, he made the whole dinner for us. Thank you Vicentiu and we hope to see you in the Bahamas one day;)"

"They had ran out of wine. They ran out of vodka after one drink. The food was shockingly bad. We ordered 3 cheese volcano nachos and they basically poured some crisps on a plate with some cold cheese sauce and salsa in a bowl. This cost us 24lei per plate = £5 per plate. One of the plates was the bottom of the bag which was basically crumbs and dust. We told both members of staff that it was really bad and gave them the opportunity to refund the really poor food which they chose not to do."

"Visited Hanul cu Tei on a couple of occasions on a recent trip to Bucharest, superb venue for a leisurely beverage and has a decent food menu to boot. The proprietor, Dumitrescu, a Romanian football legend in his own right, was on hand front of...service, ensuring table (outside with heating when we visited) service and operations were in order. Well run, efficient and attentive service, Hanul cu Tei is my first choice for an evening drink and a bite in the Old Town of Bucharest (parts of which can get a little unruly for my taste). Take a walk upstairs and appreciate the size of the establishment, very impressive..."
