"To be honest, it is one of the only pubs/restaurants where you can come in the evening and have a drink and enjoy your evening. It's opened until 1, most of the time. In Oberstdorf that is quite exceptional; there are like 2 or 3...other places that are also opened until this time. The atmosphere is good and its terrace in summer is nice too. They offer a nice breakfast buffet for a reasonable price. The food is regular; they offer everything like pizza/salads/german... AND this food is all served until around 11 in the evening. SO if you are trying to find a restaurant after 9, try here."

"Ate here last night. Asked for a bottle of house red to accompany our meal. When the bill arrived we were shocked to find we had been given one of the most expensive bottles at 35 euros. Obviously we challenged this to be told they don't do house wine in a bottle so had given us that. And as we had drank it there was nothing they could do. The waitress offered a complimentary drink to apologise for OUR misunderstanding (this was the same complimentary drink given to all dinners). The final straw was the waiter who served us sniggering about it. Very bad way to treat customers. I will never eat here again and advise anyone who does to order carefully."

"The overall impression is great, the guest room is very nice and cozy. The entire staff is consistently friendly, everything is lovingly prepared. And the most important food: it is always a pleasure to eat here, there is nothing to complain! Very good quality and a great menu, here is something for everyone. "I spent my summer holiday in oberstdorf in august 2019. first I found it very strange that the Wienerwald in a strange destination, like oberstdorf, do not allow to offer warm kitchens throughout the entire environment. the quality of the food was not very large. each snackbar offers a better level. the personal could also be more friendly. above all the cook. absolutely no comparison with the Wienerwald in the Austrian capital. there is the personal friendly and also the price-performance ratio is right, which you can not really claim from the Wienerwald in oberstdorf."

"As always, when we come to oberstdorf, this was alberto compulsory program. but this time it was different. the pizza, which so far tasted very well, was laborious and necessary to get used to. the tagliatelle with ham and sawed sauce were only lukewarm. the hammer came when I wanted to pay with Ec card. although the card was attached to the door, my Ec card was not accepted due to the visums with the pencil. they can pay for visum only from 50 euro up with card. to my shame that I don't want to pay with the visa card or mastercard, but with the ordinary e-card of the dog came again only because of the visa card only from 50 euro. such a stupid excuse to reject the payment with the card has not been accepted yet. in another case the card was also accepted under 50 euro, it will probably go to the nase! you still learn this. Well, then we can get good for visiting in alberto because of the muddy pizza and lukewarm tagliatelle in the future and turn to the tartuffo if it should be an italian. nb: two years ago the same charge (same operator) took the Ec card without problems, even under 50 euro and the pizza was tip. apparently the stone oven was abandoned because as from the stone oven today's pizza did not look out or tasted after."

"Very attentive and friendly service, we have tasted everything (flame cake, veal pastries and ragsteak, salads) excellent and dressing was already an eyewitness. The location in a side street with very lasy terrace away from the main roads very relaxing. Price performance top! Tip is shared between service and kitchen very well. After 5 years of colonel village for us a great culinary rediscovery, this will be safe every year."
