"Nothing special here. Atmosphere resembles that of a Legion or "workingman's club. Our visit coincided with the bar person's first day and she was all alone. I asked for fast flowing lager so as not to get any that was sitting in the tubes but surprisingly she had difficulty identifying lager among the, at least 6/8 pumps. We settled on a well known { to us} beer and left after one order. We may try again in the future."

"I just found out about this place and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the experience. Let's start with the good stuff... friendly service, big portions, lot's of toppings, great presentation, nice place. My food arrived and it looked great! Then I take a bite and get this liver after taste from the meat... yuk! This tends to happen when using poor or cheap cuts of meat. Three words... 'eye of round'. That is the cut of meat you should use for a Philly steak. On top of that the steak wasn't seasoned and overcooked/dry. You get this impressive amount of fries and onion rings, but the oil they were cooked in was dirty so they were dark and oily.Really it's a shame as they have the right idea... great marketing, menu and the right approach to building a Philly steak the way you want it. Unfortunately the quality just wasn't there. I don't know if it's the same at the other location or if this is just a management problem at this location.In any case I drove a long way to try this place and was disappointed. You can get a much better Philly steak at Retro Burger or Pete's Big Bite."

"Kids Hockey team lunch between games Apr 2017I think our group ordered just about everything on the menu by the time it was done. In fairness to them being short-staffed for our group we did eventually get fed and with very few hick-ups. The portions were all decent sized and I tried several plates and everything was very flavourful. There were no complaints as far as taste and flavours went. The poutines were exceptionally good! Nachos, burgers, curry, fries and chicken parm were very good. We called about 25mins before we showed up with our entire kids hockey team, parents and siblings. They said they could handle a group our size but with only ONE poor cook in the kitchen it took an extremely long time to get everyone served. Some people got their food before their drinks however. All in all everything went well. The grumpy old regulars at the rail seemed to be a bit our of sorts with 20 kids running around but everyone survived and no one lost an eye."
