"We stopped after docking the boat Me wife had tuna I had a steak. Both were good this restaurant thinks out of the box a little Mine came with Brussels sprouts done very uniquely. I quite enjoyed it. Very good place for meal or drinks"

"We found this little gem of a coffee shop on our day and went back every morning ! They even customized a coffee for me, Turmeric dry Cappuccino the staff are so wonderful and the baked goodies are dangerously good, try the chocolate...croissants and time it so they are just coming out of the oven ! And then walk through the ally to Salt Spring Adventures and take a kayak out for the day and leave the city behind .... such an amazing experience. I love this island !!"

"We heard great things about the place and were optimistic, but we couldn't see all the fuss. Setting was pleasant on the golf course. All the food was just ok. My ham sandwich had much too much butter on the bread -kind of ruined it for me...Grandpa had seafood chowder -he liked the flavour, but felt it was thin, lacking in seafood bits. My daughter liked the grilled cheese sandwich, made on their in-house baked bread.The service was fast and courteous, but the drinking water tasted like it came out of an old fish tank. We were told that it was lake water and that is the norm. Do yourself a favour and order bottled water right off the hop."

"For the first time it goes to this local pub where my friend and I randomly stumble while I look to foot on the local shops. the local pub called exactly what he is. it is a small pub below, but filled with much character. old tables, bierhahn and pictures on the wall. it is opposite to the ozean and even has a pool table in the rear room. while we are there, a band plays an Irish music. for st. patty’s day! we met some local: cliff, paul and steve friendly youngs with a afternoon pint. we used to pamper ourselves a pilger and shot a burt reynolds with the young. selena was the young girl behind the bar she was very friendly, personal and gave great service. we stopped at the pub on the way out of town to catch the ferry to have a last shot with the locals. overall cooler place and a great place to meet locals."

"OH WOW. This funky little cafe is definitely worth the search. Although we had seen the sign from the road, as we were driving to the Salt Spring Cheese Farm, we later met a local who told us we have not seen Saltspring until we have visited Kizmit. We decided to return to the area the next day. I felt like I was back in the 60's and I loved it. There were so many quirky aspects to the place, which only added to the charm. There is a little shop attached to the cafe as well, with some re-sale items. The Nicaraguan free trade coffee is delicious, with baking to match. Tables and chairs are scattered on different levels in the garden so that it does not feel crowded. I could have sat outside all afternoon, it was so relaxing. There are some tables inside as well. A huge bonus to this wonderful gem is the on-site Mediterranean food truck, Hamsa. Such apropos karma! It is clearly a very popular addition for lunch and the Middle Eastern food looked delicious and interesting. I wholeheartedly agree that you have not seen Saltpring Island until you have visited Kizmit."
