This is a great wee spot for a bit of craic and some excellent music. Sit outside and enjoy the view of the harbour, inside enjoy the music. Beers are good and the clientele welcoming. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Local Bar:
We stopped for a quick lunch. Three wines later our sandwich still had not arrived. What we did not know is they don't have a kitchen and that all food is cooked at another location and driven to the pub. Our sandwich took over an hour to arrive. Great views and polite service, but go somewhere else to eat if you are in a hurry.
Large small pub, right at the harbour. good service, good eating friendly atmosphere with a beautiful view of the boats. the eating was ordered by the waitress and then brought by another local restaurant belonging to the same person, so it took a...small while there was not and excessive waiting there, but we were in no hurry and eating was great.
For the first time it goes to this local pub where my friend and I randomly stumble while I look to foot on the local shops. the local pub called exactly what he is. it is a small pub below, but filled with much character. old tables, bierhahn and pictures on the wall. it is opposite to the ozean and even has a pool table in the rear room. while we are there, a band plays an Irish music. for st. patty’s day! we met some local: cliff, paul and steve friendly youngs with a afternoon pint. we used to pamper ourselves a pilger and shot a burt reynolds with the young. selena was the young girl behind the bar she was very friendly, personal and gave great service. we stopped at the pub on the way out of town to catch the ferry to have a last shot with the locals. overall cooler place and a great place to meet locals.
Very long wait. Ordered fish and chips.....don't....same as frozen baked in the oven. Also a little burnt
This is definitely a locals drinking spot. I didn 't see food offered here at all. Mind you, it was hard getting a beer from the one server, as the locals were all crowded around the bar and the server did not seem interested in moving...from there. So, if you are not in a rush and want to stop for a beverage and people watch, this is the place.
