"Words cannot describe this place, right from the word go we were the first ones through the door and we were welcomed by several various members of staff which set the tone for the night! The waiters and waitresses were perfect all night along with the wine pourer giving bang on descriptions of each paring.. The food was outstanding and each dish literally took our breaths, compliments to all the chef and the team for making my birthday meal as perfect as could be! Fine fine dining just without the London prices! Perfect atmosphere and layout I can't fault anything!"

"Having visited for food and drinks on a couple of previous occasions a group of us booked in for a tour of the pub. We certainly weren’t disappointed, the guide, who knows a huge amount of details about the pub and the local area, was...engaging and very amusing and the tour of the building was fascinating. A great evening rounded off with a tasty Thai meal, the food is always very good and this evening was no exception. Would certainly recommend the pub and the tour and will certainly be back again for food and drinks in the future."

"Came here for an early dinner before a concert and came here as the reviews were good and it is close to the utita arena. the entrance is located in the main street and then they go up to a beautiful open, clean room. pleasant welcome and offered a drink cobra at the take and a white wine. we ordered a main dish from specials, some bhajis (saag and mushroom and some papadums with relish. the papadums came fast and there was a bit of a waiting for the most important courses, plus the mushroom bhaji never arrived, but a wobble bhaji that we sent back. the quality and quantity was excellent. the total cost for 2 of us for a main course and 2 drinks were just under £30 each; i.e. medium price"

"My husband i could not fault the food. However eating at 7 15 pm on a Saturday evening we were subjected to a nearby table who were drunk 2 men 2 ladies swearing continually. Sadly the f c words. This was raised this with the waiter who annoyingly did nothing. Ruined our evening. I'm 59 the husband is 65 we do not need this when eating out. Service: Dine in"

"Poor food and service (from the manager). We ordered our starters. 3/4 were fine. One person ordered ‘crispy duck rolls’. They arrived. No crispy duck at all. Just pastry stuffed with soggy duck, no veg or anything normally seen in a spring roll. Asked our waiter if this could be changed who said he would ask the manager. The manager came over and when shown the food he said it was our taste that was the problem and not the food. He said he wouldn’t swap it or take it off the bill only give another dish and charge for that too. Mains came. All mediocre. Short ribs were so chewy and fatty. No point in raising this issue really after the first attempt. Could see the manager pulling our waiter to the side multiple times after he had been to our table making us feel uncomfortable. Lovely waiter service but poor food and managerial service."
