"We had the degustation. The restaurant staff were ok, the maître de annoying. Nan the Sommelier was outstanding as were the paired wines presented. The food was ok. Highlights Wagyu, Pork and Tooth fish. Unfortunately we were comparing our experience to an amazing degustation at Magill Estate earlier in the year. Magill Estate was sublime, Hardy’s was an ok lunch. If you love a degustation experience value for money would be Darry’s Verandah. Another tip is ensure you check the bill at Hardy’s as we were overcharged."

"What a huge disappointment! We had family from interstate staying with us and booked at Jimmies for dinner to ‘showcase’ Adelaide Hiils food. The restaurant was almost empty, however the wait for food was over 45 minutes. The entree was served AFTER the main course, which was stone cold absolutely awful. We really wished we had booked at the Crafers Pub over the road. It was an embarrassment. We were offered sweets the one dish we would have liked that was on the menu was ‘unavailable’. We live in the Hills and are passionate supporters of Hills businesses. However Jimmies has gone downhill in a spectacular way. Such a pity it used to be such a great place. Sadly we won’t be back."

"Hands down the best little restaurant my husband and I have visited for a very long time! Jimmies was a perfect place to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary child free. The food, well entree was beautiful which was the sharing plate, mains were perfect in every way. The 350gm scotch fillet was cooked to perfection and my house made gnocchi...seriously the best! They were the softest and fluffiest gnocchi I’ve ever had and the broccolini and pesto accompanied them wonderfully. Now the deserts...to die for! Chocolate hazelnut brownie/cake with hot chocolate sauce and vanilla bean ice cream and deconstructed strawberry shortcake with strawberry gelato...one word...delicious! Thank you to the chef, you are very talented and a big thank you to our waitress. I didn’t catch her name but she had long blonde hair. She was amazing and made sure we were well looked after. 10/10 or in Facebook world 5/5 stars!"

"Despite previous reviews I can only comment on the experience we had as which was not good. Going to Mt Lofty House one expects good service, knowledgable staff, a flexible dining menu, clean public areas, a degree of organisation. Staggered at the bad standard management obviously seems is acceptable. All we did was go for dinner which turned out to be a farce. Going to different entrances, conflicting directions by staff, waiting over an hour for menus, drink selection not available, really limited menu options with no flexibility from the kitchen, coffee which never arrived, filthy bathrooms, dead flies everywhere. Supposed to be a new restaurant? The old one was much better, the new one is a dud. We won't be back."
