"We ate here most nights during our week in Loches. The food is fresh and there is a varied menu, portions are generous but not over-facing and the restaurant was busy every night with different nationalities, including french locals, so the atmosphere was good. There was a choice of eating inside or out.We had a variation of food off the menu, my favourite was the duck in pepper sauce and my husband really liked the turkey in cream sauce. We had waffles with chantilly cream every night for dessert - delicious. The wines on offer were good and cost about 9 euros a bottle. The meals each night for two of us with main courses, desserts and wine came to about 50 euros which we considered very reasonable given the quality of the food.From about the third visit we were greeted with kisses and hugs from the owners and were made to feel like one of the locals. They seemed genuinely please to see us return to eat with them.There are more upmarket restaurants in Loches, with more expensive and classical menus, but when you are away from home and eating out every night it's nice to visit an unpretentious, down to earth restaurant that just serves very good food with warmth and a ready smile - that's what this restaurant offers."
