"Great place to eat. Coming to Quinta for more than 20 years and for some reason it took us 15 to try Mr Freddies. We now come twice in the two week holiday. "First time at this beautiful restaurant will be definitely going again. We were a party of 8 playing foursomes week at Val do lobo and were recommended this restaurant by members at the golf course, we were not disappointed is an understatement. This is a first class, fine dining restaurant not the cheapest but worth every penny! My starter, shared with my wife, were described as chicken ravioli but were more like a Chinese chicken dumpling but oh boy were they good!! My main course of duck was absolutely delicious, it was served with orange sauce, not my favourite accompaniment but they changed this without hesitation for a pepper sauce, brilliant!! I can honestly say this was one of the best meals we had while in Portugal and believe me we had some amazing meals!! Not cheap but worth it."

"I visited in April 2019 with my son, his wife and 2 sons, ages 13 and 3. We arrived too early to check in to our accommodation so decided to go for a drink/snack to pass the time. The place doesn't open on a Monday, the day we arrived, but Des, the owner, was sitting outside with a coffee and was so helpful to us. He took us over the road to a little Portuguese bar, Maria's, where we were able to sit outside with a drink until we could check in. He also gave us lots of advice re shopping, taxis etc. Unfortunately we were a week too early into the season for them starting to do food but his lovely other half said that if she had known, she would have opened the kitchen for us, not something we would have taken advantage of but we really appreciated the gesture. They were the loveliest and most helpful people and perfect for customer relations. We would absolutely love to revisit the area at a later time of year, if only to go back to Cisco's and to experience their karaoke evenings. We also spoke to quite a few ex pats who were so friendly."

"This is a really beautiful family run restaurant a couple of miles north of Loule . It’s set in a renovated farmhouse with a lovely terrace.When we visited on a Saturday evening we sat inside as it was a little cold outside.The food here is very traditional, lots of casserole, goats cheese and roast meats . It seemed to be a favourite of the locals as there wasn’t another tourist to be heard or seen .The food we had was very good but it lacked sophistication. It was very traditional and very heavy . We had a lovely goats cheese , honey and almond tartlet to start with and for main course we had a wild boar casserole and herb crusted lamb served with traditional vegetables. The flavours were great and the food was very tasty , very much a twist on Portuguese traditional favourites I’d imagine.For dessert we had a carob mousse , once again the portion was enormous and despite its simplicity, it was delicious.In short this is a must visit , the atmosphere, the setting and the service is fantastic. It’s very homely and very Portuguese, a great change to the more tourist orientated restaurants you find in Vilamoura and it’s immediate surrounds . What this restaurant lacks in sophistication it makes up for it heart, character and warmth."
