"The hours of operation change daily. When we arrived, we were told that the bar opened at 5pm. Being Aussies, we were promptly there at 5:01, when we were told that we couldn't get a drink until 5:30 and it was only beer and wine....Cocktails can be made after 6pm but that was ok because that's when happy hour started! Up until Christmas, happy hour was from 6 7pm, but after Christmas the bar didn't open until 9:30pm when the restaurant shut due to a lack of staff. Also, they can only serve beer and wine in the restaurant because the bar is shut. However if you made friends with the right staff, you could get basic cocktails, but there was definitely no more happy hours. The bar menu was DELICIOUS and it was a shame that you couldn't get the bar menu all the time. One thing we really missed was coming home from a day of exploring and not being able to get a drink or even a tea or coffee. While you never knew when the bar would open, it would stay open until the last man was standing and the staff were always willing to be entertaining until there was no one left."
