"I wanted to go here since it was opened a year ago. I love smoked food and had high expectations. this place was not disappointed! the owner, tim, is absolutely charming, he is passionate about his products and nothing is too much annoyed. his wife has decorated the café room and it is absolutely beautiful. trendy, relaxed and absolutely charming. we had dinner, weeping, coffee and ice cream. I can't recommend this place enough and hope that they will do well in the coming years."

"We are local and after a lovely walk on the beach we decided to pop in the Bell to treat ourselves to fish and chip supper. What a disappointment, the service was super speedy and that was because the fish was obviously not cooked to order but had either been sitting under a heat lamp or refried, it was incredibly dark and crispy and dry although not inedible, the chips were great and enjoyable. There was another table near us who had the same complaint. We mentioned to the waiter that the fish was severely over cooked and he apologised and said he would tell the chef. Great shame as not a cheap supper. As the driver I had a pint of orange juice and lemonade which at over £5 was a real rip off!!"

"I had only dinner here and everything was just great. we had the cured garnels for starters and it was all perfectly cooked with the curry sauce very delicious. I then had the steamed wild boar and Ale Pie and I must say that was probably the best I ever had, and I had a few in my time. the steak simply tasted her mouth and the baked was not too thick and had a big taste. my wife had grilled chicken meat on a potato cake from the special table again this was great. the staff was very friendly. all in all a very good experience and would return definitiw if in the opposite."

"Couldn't ask for anything more. Ordered on a Tuesday night. Really easy ordering. Food arrived within half an hour. Lovely delivery driver. All of the food was delicious. We've had the mixed starter a few times now and that's going to be on the order every time from now on. Really enjoyed chilli beef, duck in hoi sin and Szechuan pork tonight. Looking forward to next time. Thank you."

"My husband and I visited the Queen for lunch. We were with our baby son in his buggy, the restaurant was buggy friendly and great to visit as a family. We had really great service and absolutely loved our food, would highly recommend the beef pie. This is a fantastic place to visit if you want great quality British classics, good portion sizes too. If we are nearby again we would not hesitate to revisit the Queen it was just fab!"
