"Lou's is definitely a dive, the bathrooms are outside/upstairs and the place looks a little bit sketchy. However, the food and staff are fantastic and make this a real hole in the wall gem. The food is fresh and always hot, I love the clam chowder with sourdough toast on the side. It's always hot and delicious and great for those cold SF days (which sometimes seem like everyday)."

"The scallops and Cod were over cooked. They did not acknowledge a 60th birthday as we requested. The waitress was not very friendly. We ordered dessert to go, they said they had no take out silver wear, we insisted and suddenly they produced some. The price is way too high for this not so good food, sad."
