"The shrimp tempura I received was clearly frozen cooked in an oven. It did not have the flakey batter you get fresh and was clearly a flat side that it cooked or froze on. The grilled chicken rice entree was far from grilled, didn’t see a single grill mark. The grilled chicken was also drowning in a watery sauce, it was basically soup, tasted boiled or microwaved. Bulgogi was pretty good, fair portion and tasty."

"The staff are always welcoming and kind. The restaurant is mainly take-out but there are about 4-6 small tables for the dining in option. The sushi is fresh and so is the rice. When you order the sushi it's a good portion of fish and not overloaded with rice. I would recommend Sushi Jun to any sushi lover."

"We usually get the spicy sushi and dynamite roll. One tray is sufficient for a hungry person. They have started charging for the spicy mayo now. It is cents I think. They also have end of day promotions where they drop the price by...a dollar or so but there is not much variety left at the end of the day."

"What Jyo has created with Solo Sushi Ya is truly special. It shows in the owner's dedication to providing the best food with quality ingredients to his loyal customers. It's so rare to meet a chef that cares so deeply about his customers and his craft. Every time we visit, we are completely blown away by how incredible the food is you won't find sushi rice cooked this well anywhere else in the GTA.Bonus! Chef Jyo is a delight and we love to chat with him about the restaurant, ingredients, and life in general! I recommend asking him for daily recommendations, but even better call ahead to secure some special treats like uni or blue fin tuna when in season!"
