"I don't want to let the secret out but I have to give Okane the credit they deserve. This is my favorite sushi spot in the city. Every single bite of fish is so unbelievably fresh and tender and flavorful. The rolls are inventive without being too heavy. The sides are thoughtfully constructed (the sesame green beans and crab sunomono come to mind). The prices are reasonable relative to the food's super high quality. Great experience both dining in and taking out."

"Consistently large sushi and Japanese food. Try the tempura, it is always perfectly cooked. The Dragon Roll may be the best we had. Conveniently located for pre- or post-movie restaurants and other Yerba Buena/Metreon activities."

"Really great food and specials. Service was abysmal. We were offered check and dessert after having finished only our first roll; getting both rolls and sashimi took 50 minutes, and server had to check with the kitchen 3 times total. We ran out of water and had to get our own from the bar. Just really poor overall service."

"We haven’t been to Roy’s in several months as our last experience was not great. Even though there was only a couple of tables occupied, the waitress gave us the same spiel that the chef liked to have the entire order placed at one time including dessert so they could “pace” the meal. This is the only restaurant that we’ve been to that does this and it is very off-putting. The waitress didn’t know why the chef called the special Lobster Dynamite and didn’t bother to find out for us. She wasn’t very friendly- kind of wooden. The dining attendant on the other hand couldn’t have been kinder or more attentive. She even lit the fire pit for us. The ambiance and food was amazing."

"Everything great but Vivian our waitress! She took over 10 minutes to come over to us, then had to ask staff to find her, then ordered and received food from someone else and then she never came around and after we finished we saw her talking with staff members and had to walk up to her and ask her for our check."
