"On a cold winter night we wanted some food that would warm us up. We saw the menu in the window and thought we would try this restaurant out. It is located on the Korean side of Eastwood and with Street frontage next to the building where Aldi is.It is small, seating about 40 people with a wooden decor. It filled up in no time with lots of Korean customers, always a good sign.Service was attentive and we ordered Ginseng Chicken and hot stone bowls of spicy octopus bibimbap and teriyaki chocked bibimbap.Sides were generous and tasty. We look forward to coming back and trying other dishes on the menu and the infrared grill intrigues me with regards to BBQ. Well worth a try and the meal warmed us up."

"There are a few Japanese Restaurants in Eastwood, but only a few worth going to in my opinion. For lunch deal bentos, options include Sakae Dining, next to King’s Seafood Restaurant; Ichiraku, behind Eastwood library. For Sushi, I love Sushi Arigato. For Ramen, I recommend Zenya. I have been to both Sakae and Ichiraku. Sakae offers $13.50 bentos for lunchtimes with a variety of options including grilled Mackerel, teriyaki fish/chicken and katsus. Ichiraku has their menu starting from $10.80 and increasing with more expensive options. Sakae’s bentos come with green tea, three slices of sashimi, salad, potato salad, a mini spring roll plus rice and miso soup. Ichiraku’s comes with three pieces of baby tuna sushi, salad, rice and miso soup."

"Is there a decent sushi bar / restaurant in Sydney? The answer is no. (These include Sake, Sookyo and Sushi e) Hukuya is an immovable, friendly and casual restaurant next to Eastwood Station, which offers a range of typical sushi and sashimi boats. Most of their combos are unimaginatively and often, but considerably expensive (considering the location). Grief Grief <span> <a class="attaga at-tags-21175567" href="https://www.zomato.com/sydneyguyrojoe"> sydneyguyrojoe </a> </ span>, <span> <a class = "AT-Tag at-Tag-22102816" href = "https://www.zomato.com/users/al-22102816"> al </a> </ span> and I did our way <br> In the Korean restaurant yesterday and several items from your menu including vegetable salad, Hukuya Special Sashimi / Sushi and Adegashi Tofu ordered. First, the tofu was a cheap, simple beancurd from a typical Asian supermarket and not the smooth, silky and fragrant Japanese tofu. Grief Grief Second, the sashimi and sushi were border average - the tuna was not stale, but no fresh catch. Like more than 100 other Japanese restaurants in Sydney, Hukuya did not use the high-quality Japonica rice that radiates a natural scent and consists of short round translucent grains that has a natural sticky texture when cooked. This is a pity, because even street hill in Singapore and corner supermarket outlets in Hong Kong prepare your sushi with high quality grains, but three times cheaper. SydneySiders as we are linked! <br> Grief Third, the shrimp tempura was not the usual tariff. The thick, crisp dough overwhelmed the fresh, juicy taste of the shrimp, while the diving sauce lacked the taste of garlic, ginger and rice wine vinegar. Grief Grief Once again, the only saving grace is a good company and endless gossip !! I would be immensely thankful if someone could share a decent Japanese restaurant in Sydney ????"
