"The first performance is a little fraudulent. No transport belt fast service, but a seat next to corona Mexican banners. Read glasses "bonjour" and Japanese lanterns. Sapporo, Asahi, Bud Licht, Corona Sign I think the restaurant is confused what it wants to be. Once you come in your welcome with friendly service and do not surprise to wait too long for food. All Japanese sushi, tonkatsu, chirashi bowls, hand rolls, etc. I ordered the hand roll Sushi Combo. The cook chose a number of fish and it was worth the 13.99 price! Eel, fat tuna, salmon, all fresh. Rice, avocado, imitation crabs all quite fresh and in good quantity! Even her ginger was the real deal and no shop bought Stale. Would recommend if you are looking for decent quality food for the price. Again, only the sushi tried. I had a shrimp tempoura hand roll that I think the tempura could have more crisp, but it was not heated again. Thanks for the experience! Recommend if you want to spend a little more, then conveyor belt to better quality sushi"

"We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service."

"If you're in Santa Barbara, you must treat yourself to their tasting menu! So thoughtfully prepared one of the best meals I have ever had. The fish is just incredible, and their seasonal menu changes monthly. Best sashimi I've ever had!"

"Extremely disappointing. The miso “soup” tasted like toilet water or leftover dish water. The California roll with crab tasted horrible. Didn’t love the albacore either but not terrible just not good. The salmon nigiri was the only good item. Staff was nice and they’re great about calling when the orders are ready for take out. I don’t think it was a coincidence that I was very sick GI after eating this meal. Wouldn’t return nor recommend."

"I got the poke salad and a california roll. While i waited i went to the restroom and it was disgusting. It made me worry about the environment my food was being prepared in. The kitchen door across from restroom was open and the floors did look dirty.When i opened the poke salad i was very pleasantly surprised. Much bigger and totally not what i expected. The fish wasnt the best but it was edible. I ate most of it. Then came the california roll, which i shouldn't have ordered bc the salad was enough and that lunch cost me $25 for those two things! Way more than i was expecting to spend. The california roll was terrible. In fact i forced myself to ear maybe 3 or 4 pieces and threw the rest away. The pieces were huge, they fell apart and just didnt taste good."
