"For some this is about reminiscing about the good old days of Uni and finding a little restaurant that people walk past with out too much of a second"

"This is a brand new outlet in Chifley Plaza Food Court. The entire food court has had a revamp and after it has been closed for months, there is a new assortment of new food outlets, including this.
Grief As part of the Chinta RIA assortment, they also make the Malaysian classics and different items. The menu is big enough to give you the choice, but not too much to overwhelm it. They had little bisse (very yum cha oriented), soup noodles, barbecue, traditional objects, the wok, roti and benny lunch boxes. Grief Grief The service was good, but they were a bit overwhelmed by the great crowds, as one of the first, who opened in the food court, not much competition in the lunch break and a very fasculated audience of workers in Chifley Tower. Grief Grief I tried the clear noodle soup with Hokkien noodles (they were the thick egg noodles, which I enjoyed, as thought they could be the round they usually get) with the fraternal. I also had the roti with coconut (Kaya). My expectations were exceeded with the pasta. I think they were simply simple soup noodles, I was pleasantly surprised that the pasta had a beautiful soy taste for you, and when the soup was added, it was tasteful and hearty. The roti was nice and crisp and love the Kaya, which was served with it.
Grief It's worth a try, and are looking forward to tasting more with the menu!
Grief *** edited 23DEC16 ***
Grief Looks out as if I did not order the clear noodle soup up, as the chicken one that I have yesterday was completely different than the top! I would have the roasted duck with thrown egg noodle with sauce, as the noodles were definitely different from Hokkien."

"Malacca Straits has been around for many years. The food tastes great and I'm sufficient portion, the cost is very budget friendly, and staff services are excellent."

"For a cbd shop it is acceptable, however with the cba pricing no way...
2nd time eaten here
- pho broth is decent tasting though very little meat even with regular sizing. You can find better at pho pasture down the road.
- salt and pepper calamari - cooked in dirty oil, some where crispy in and out! Others were soggy in and out , looks like thrown with lots of fried onions to hide the chefs poor method of not knowing how to cook this
- vermicelli - the meat was not the usual fried beef but slice pork dressed in a great amount of sugar.

Needless to say, I didn't collect the stamp me as I don't count on returning here again."

"Came here for the airconditioning in the 35 degree heat. The food was surprisingly more pleasent than I had expected. I ordered the Vermicille bowl with Grilled Pork and Spring Rolls for $13.50. The grilled pork was so tender and flavourful. Not a lot of options on the menu but needless to say, I will come back (mostly for the aircon)."

"I'm so often telling me, I'll go into a light salmon and avocado salad, but my mouth seems to be unable to express something other than Tan Tan Ramen. So much on the menu, but I can rarely pass on the spicy pork-mince or wagyu beef on miso broth.
Always friendly and accommodating staff, quickly turning over, EFT and able to be split into account, come back."
