"We have been coming here for 2 decades. This is our fav and go to sushi restaurant when in town for vac. The food is very good, they use high quality sushi fish. Restaurant is clean, servers are very attentive. The fresh made miso dressing is the best I have ever tasted it's out of this world!! Lee and linda took this restaurant to the next level.Parking: Big parking lot right by the door. Will never have problem looking for space."

"Been eating here for a couple of years. Enjoyed until lately. They are slipping in their preparation of food. The past three visits, the onion/mushroom soup has tasted different each time. One time it was so salty that we couldn't eat it; we traded it in for miso (which we really don't care fore). The chicken in the teppan was very dry, apparently overcooked."

"Was really excited to go to Shakai for the first time as a sushi lover but was so disappointed at the service. After paying $100 for the meal I was so frustrated about the entire experience. It wasn’t super busy but once we ordered we waited 20 min for appetizers they were cold. The server said she was also bringing back sauces but didn’t, so we ate cold calamari with no sauce. Then every dish she brought to the table she sat in front of the wrong person. It was like she was just sitting things on our table with no regard. Then our food took over 30 min it was 2 sushi rolls! There was no apology. The server got the soups wrong after our long wait and my daughter’s bowl of rice took forever….it was just rice. My friend ordered two shrimp appetizers and one was $5 more and the server said nothing about the up charge. It was simply one of the worst “service” experiences I’ve ever had and I eat out a lot. I felt like they literally had no focus on the dining experience. The food was 4 out of 10 but prob would have been better if the service had been better. Definitely not recommending this place to friends."

"One of my favorite places. Food is always fresh and delicious and the service is always fast and courteous. My wife is very very picky and the food has to be absolutely top-notch or else she will not come back. Needless to say we've been back many times because the food was so fresh and delicious. Highly recommended"
