"El Portón has never been the greatest place to eat in Mexico but it has always been quite decent. They have really nice Mexican dishes but the quality they have in this branch in Cancún, the next right in front of Walmart, is definitely not...the best one. Today the service was not bad but TERRIBLE. Be careful with waitress Edit. Make sure that she offers a good service by talking to the manager. She has an attitude and hasn't been the first time she has served us with the same bad mood. Maybe they don't have enough wait staff but that doesn't mean you have to wait minutes for a fruit plate! The chinese coffee was almost cold, and the chicken tasted kind of burnt. It also took her AGES to take our order and even served the group behind us before us even though they arrived later than us. If you are very hungry and you can't wait, head my warning, go to Applebee's across the street. It isn't better but I bet it will be faster."

"There is nothing special about Sanborn. Nothing bad. Nothing good. You get the food you'd expect, nothing more nothing less. Nothing tastes great but one nice thing if I've never struck out either. For those from the US this is as much as a Denny's clone as you'll find."

"We had dinner lately in the oceano for the Mexican theme night. the buffet has many different items for selection and teller were filled according to request and handed over to the diners. the system could have worked if someone had controlled the people in the line. Instead there was no social distancing or even a pretext of it. eating was just okay, but some things seemed to disappear quickly without being refilled. the entertainment was good, but only lasted about minutes. we had a difficult time to find server all night."

"Acudí a desayunar festejando mi cumpleaños, no me gusto la calidad de sus alimentos, nada que ver con lo que esperas de unas enchiladas suizas, son enchiladas verdes únicamente. Ya no había lugar en la parte de adentro, me dijeron que esperará afuera y empezará a ordenar y en cuanto hubiera lugar nos moverían pero no fue así, me quede esperando y pasaban familias y a nosotros no nos dieron el lugar. Nos atendió Diego y tiene excelente actitud pero no vale la pena pagar tanto para que la atención no sea 100% excelente."

"It doesn't get much better than the authentic Mexican cuisine served at La Parilla. Keep in mind that I did get to this restaurant late -- around 2AM (late flight), and my brother and I were the only ones in the restaurant but it was divine. The speed and quality of the food was superb --- we ordered the taco sampler (1 person dish) which provides a little bit of everything from el pollo to la cerda to carne asada. All served up with rice and black beans and they have many sauces to choose from. If you're into spicy, try their habanero hot sauce!! In addition to this, you get a beautifully decorated restaurant; you can eat inside or outside and the prices are super cheap! Two beers, two bottled waters, and two entrees cost about $20 - $25 USD with tip."
