"Finally somewhere decent to eat on the island! Not a flashy menu, just the basics burgers, pies, even nachos for the kids. Extremely reasonably priced. Terrific value for money. A fabulous open fire and a snuggly couch was just what we needed on this cold wet day. Could have sat there all day. Friendly service too. Only downside is not enough info on the menu. Had to go up and collect menus, had to go back to the counter to ask what the soup of the day was, then had to go back and ask what pies they had in the cabinet (signs or a blackboard would have been handy),. Really nice overall"

"However I had the pancakes yesterday and they were very very average! They have a great selection of slices and cakes and usually our first choice for Morning tea. (Although I should mention the tea is just teabag tea which is disappointing from such a cute cafe!"

"We're staying in Cowes for 10 nights. We felt like a Chinese takeaway last night, so had sweet and sour pork, chicken chow mein, and "special" fried rice, shared between three of us. It was really nice.Tonight we felt like a quick takeaway meal and decided to have sweet and sour pork and the special rice again. It was just as tasty as last night.Both nights were very quick service (although we were there early and they commented that they weren't busy yet). Very friendly lady who took our orders.Both nights we were able to park right outside the restaurant.Note the "special" rice is combination fried rice. We asked for it without prawns, but it still had egg, pork, peas and a couple of other things in it - for a light meal you could easily have just this rice."

"Meet some to of owners for lunch here on the advise of other locals who have raved about this cafe.The small lunch menu and wine list did not disappoint and within a short time, although quite busy, our orders had been taken, the wine was being poured by the very friendly owner and our meals had arrived. The cafe style burgers and turkish roll were excellent.Lingering over coffee made for a most enjoyable time. We will be back!!"
