"It's Egg Harbor! Quality across locations is notoriously consistent. Good and interesting food selection, with stellar staples and a rotating menu of specials, plus periodic changes to their main menu.I have enjoyed Egg Harbor in other locations for decades and I have no complaints about this one. Staff is persistent cheery and imminently friendly. Food and ingredient quality is consistent and always on par with other quality brunch joints. You won't necessarily find the most experimental items in the world here, but they do push out some interesting specials.Prices aren't cheap, but always on per with restaurants of similar quality and actually have not increased as massively as others with inflation. They treat their staff notoriously well and I have personally seen a guy I like go from a busboy with low English competency to a floor manager. Gotta love that.Dietary restrictions: The staff is ready and quite willing to adjust menu items to accommodate any dietary restrictions they can. They aren't heavily focused on this and probably can't, for instance, guarantee they've eradicated all traces of gluten from most meals, but they are glad to do what they can with no stress.Parking: The parking lot is a bit of a pain to navigate due to its design, but you can park both in the front and back and you'll never find yourself lacking.Kid-friendliness: Egg Harbor is Notoriously kid friendly. I can't speak for kids who behave catastrophically poorly, but I went to another location for most of my childhood and they were both kind and accommodating."

"Just stopped in The Wild Roaster. Although closed for the July 4th festivities, I was still offered a cup of Java that they were getting ready to bring to Deerfield’s Celebration. The owner also gave me a treat. A soft and chewy nut bar. An off the beaten path but well worth finding. Why only four stars? I’m reserving the fifth for a couple more visits. They also do on site pastries. Located at the Metra Station, so convenient for the commute."

"I didn't even want to give this one star. I know the place was busy, however being a server at a high volume restaurant myself I would NEVER let my customer sit at a table for an hour after taking their order and not check on them periodically ensuring drinks were filled and keeping them up to date on their order. Our coffee was ice cold when the server tapped her finger on our table and stated that our food was next... Another 15 to 20 minutes goes by and still no food but finally a heat up on coffee, the sever states that our food was going to be next again and said she was sorry there was a large party ahead of us. As I stated in the beginning, I am a server at a high volume restaurant who tends bar, serves tables inside and outside, along with answering phones for to go orders and running out on line curbside orders. I have many tasks to attend to while serving, yet I would never use there was a large party ahead of you and that is why you waited and hour and 20 minutes for your food that looked like someone slopped it on a plate. Its a sad state when the last time I was at this establishment the food and service was superb, yesterday it was like no one cared. I will not be back, it was a utter disappointment for myself as well as my family."
