"Ciao mambo has served some of the best pasta in Missoula for years, and I've been coming to get fettuccine alla rustica here for the whole time. I love the ambiance, the servers writing names on the wax paper tablecloth as well as the pictures over the years. There is just something special about popping into Ciao on a chilly winter day to be warned up by delicious pasta and relaxed by the deep wine color of the walls. On the night I decided to review, I had egg drop soup, a Bayern Winter Lager, fettuccine alla rustica (my favorite pasta in Missoula, made with chicken and shrimp in a Pecorino Romano blended aged white sauce with peas and prosciutto), and for dessert Zappolis with chocolate, huckleberry, and caramel dipping sauces. It was freezing outside and this meal made me feel warm and alive. I appreciate Ciao Mambo, and enjoy it as a Missoula staple. If you try it, you will too."

"Two plate combo. Asked for brisket off the fatty end (more flavor) and got told ?that?s what burnt ends are.? Yes, but I want brisket unsauced. Automatically lost a star with that. I ended up going with burnt ends after reading this is a ?St Louis BBQ style? restaurant. The two that were actually full pieces and not dry shredded beef (that?s what a majority of the pile was) were on the dry side and not the most tender. Maybe I?m being a little more critical than normal after the snotty response. The pulled pork is decent and very happy to see it not sauced. Beans are average as is the macaroni and cheese. Would I come back? Probably not."

"Waitress was rude and we barley saw her! Waited for an hour for our food that never came while everyone else ate around us. Asked her why people who came in after us, were attended to, and order taken after ours but they received their food! And in a decent amount of time! She got snippy with us and told us she was busy. The group behind us got sat not even 5 minutes before us (the only difference was they had a better waitress) were finishing up their meal when we decided to walk out! Used to love this place but not no more ill take my money else where."

"It was 1030pm when u pulled up to drive thru they are not supposed to be open until 11pm. I pull up to place my order, the recording comes on to take my order. I said what I wanted and then total silence. I finally am able to pull up to the window at 1040pm and they are CLOSED!!!! I AM SO MAD, HOW REDICULIOUS!!! I HATE GOING TO MC DONALDS AND THE ONLY REASON I DID IS FOR MY BOYFRIEND. As I am sitting at the intercom the lights go out in the restaurant. They closed with myself and 3 other vehicles at the drive thru. How can they do that. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER!!!"
