"Stopped in to book a table having recently moved to the area.Spoke with the landlady who said it was a 'community pub '.Well, went for Sunday lunch and found it souless.Was addressed as 'all right mate ' by the chap behind the bar.The landlady walked past us seven or eight times and never acknowledged us.£35 for two roasts and a bottle of wine is too much for a pub.Lots of foul language from people sat at the bar and a mass get together for a smoke by the staff and drinkers leaving nobody serving.The food was okay, the vegetables being undercooked.We weren 't asked if the food was to our liking once served.Won 't be back."

"We visited Pandora Cafe for lunch and enjoyed lovely, fresh, home cooked food! The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly nice to chat with someone from the Midlands and enjoy some football banter too! Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely...cafe!"

"As soon as we walked into this restaurant with our friends, the fantastic buzz was apparent. Even at the place was rammed with happy customers having a great time. The Thai menu was extensive and varied so making your choice was tricky! We all...shared two plates of fried squid to start this was exceptional and not just the usual battered rings. The batter was deliciously light, textured and crunchy and the squid was in lovely big chunks, with a spicy, tangy dip. Gorgeous! Mains were a good portion size and the spicing was spot on for the hotter dishes. The coconut rice (you can choose the rice to accompany your dish) was very good indeed. All the meals were very tasty and resulted in four clean bowls. Service was attentive and accurate. And the restaurant was just as busy when we left around as it had been when we arrived. It shows that the restaurant is getting it just right."

"What a fantastic place! Visited late this afternoon ... about fifteen minutes before you closed but you said it wasn't a problem at all. We had delicious homemade sausage rolls, cream teas and a brownie. Huge teapot to share between the three tea drinkers and the latte was gorgeous too. Will remember next time that the cream goes on first then the jam!!! Sorry about that! Thanks again for being so welcoming.... we will be back soon"

"The Redwood ice cream parlour is in a really nice location, pity the guy running isn’t as nice. My wife went in to order a pot of tea for herself and a decaf coffee for me. She was told we don’t have decaf coffee but we do have mint tea. My wife then replied he doesn’t like tea and due to a heart condition he doesn’t drink regular coffee, so forget the coffee, but I’ll also have a Cornish pasty with the tea.She then went and sat at a table outside. I had popped round the corner to buy some chips as we didn’t think the ice cream parlour sold hot food. I came back sat down with my wife and we were sharing the chips I’d bought and the pasty she’d bought. The owner then came out and in no uncertain terms told us we couldn’t eat the chips there as we hadn’t purchased them in his establishment, even though we tried to explain the tea and the pasty were bought in his shop. He still demanded we leave the table and go and stand at the road side. The cafe had no other tables being used at the time so really can’t understand his rude attitude. We will never again go into his cafe."

"Absolutely delicious! We ended our 4 night stay at The Woolacombe Bay Hotel with evening dinner at the Doyle’s restaurant and it was exquisite! Terrine starter looked amazing and so vibrant and was super tasty and sauce with our chicken main course was simply to die for. Service was excellent also and everyone was so attentive. I would highly recommend booking evening meal at the Doyle’s restaurant whether you are staying at the The Woolacombe Bay Hotel or not. It is well worth it!"
