"To the Manager, On having travelled for hours from our holiday destination further south, we eventually arrived at Ouistreham where we were sailing to Portsmouth at that night, Tired and hungry, at we entered Le Phare Hotel with a view to...booking a table for a meal that evening prior to reporting at the dockside,. A fewl people were dotted around at tables in the foyer area, so we assumed we could order a coffee or a beer prior to booking a meal. As soon as we entered the reception area, a woman came from behind the bar and shouted rather aggressively within hearing of other guests What do you want we do not open until It was a real shock and I replied that we would leave. Needelss to say, we did not return, so they lost our custom. Such a shame as we have stayed as residents and eaten there a few times in the past, but will not be doing so again. No welcome whatsoever!"

"The menu allows you to test everything, and the choice is on the homemade tartare sauce in salmon snack ( excellent served with an egg on the dish a slice of pineapples, fries and salad. Great. Perso, I finished with a caramel butter, very good"
