"First time at this restaurant, I've always heard a lot of good things about it. Our waitress was friendly, but my mom and I were forgotten. Two other tables of people came in 20 minutes AFTER us and they got their drinks first, then their apps first, and then their entrées. So this takes a star off, and the way it made me feel, I probably shouldn't be so generous and take more stars off. But it wasn't our servers fault, she was handling too many tables and the owner/manager kept barking more orders at her. Owner/manager was rude, no smile, even at check out. Stone face. Prices for apps were a bit high, $6 for 4 crab cheese, and they weren't that great. Egg drop soup was weird, not traditional and made with egg whites only. The cashew chicken I do not recommend getting, I had maybe 6 pieces of small unbreaded chicken and the rest was vegetables and cashews and way too salty. First time here, pretty atmosphere, bad experience, mediocre food, unfortunately I will not be back."

"I’m from out of town and stopped in for takeout just before closing time. The staff was welcoming, kind, and very friendly. They made excellent menu suggestions: string bean chicken, Singapore noodles, and veggie egg rolls. My only regret was not getting more egg rolls. The food was delicious and I’m definitely coming back next time I am in the area. I highly recommend it!"

"This place had amazing eating, but also a cute interieur (super decorative and loved the lighter.) the workers were very nice and I had nice talks with them (I have an order to go.) they (or the owner haha not sure) have even left a nice message on the box! here's a must!"

"Chan 's is an interesting place, but I really enjoyed my food and the owner was really nice. If you 're from the tri-county area like me you 're spoiled by the need for everything to look 'just so '. Up in the more rural areas like where we were after going to Mt. Pleasant things can be different. Chan 's looks shabby chic on the outside, but go in anyway. It 's clean, bathrooms were clean, the food was good and reasonably priced. They offered my vegetarian daughter a vegetarian egg roll with her dinner. You should give it a try, you 'll be glad you did. No pictures again, because we were meeting up with friends and catching up."

"Met some friends who arrived before us. They had received their drinks and the comp chips and salsa. The waiter was not on his A game. Took several pass bys before taking our drink order. Then it took a while to get them, figured he was super busy. We then gave him our food orders, was not too bad of a wait, but upon digging in, I was very disappointed. My half rack of ribs looked awesome, ribs were glazed over in sauce to give the appearance of looking delicious. Inside, dry shards of meat. Obviously way over cooked or nuked until completely dried out. Ear of corn was the same way, appeared awesome, but so over nuked it was an ear of rubber corn."

"Oh, how I love the Southwest Egg Rolls and the Pineapple sauce: . I haven’t had Bennigan’s in years. Most have closed on the west side of Michigan. So it was great to find one on the east side of the state."
