"Beautiful to find a few hearty brot in japan for cheap trips. go early if they want options! I went about 3 on a Saturday and it wasn't much left, but got some nut bread. the owner was happy to show what was vegan and said none of his brote had eierbutter or milk. some had a good time. I asked for honey in my broth and he said no honey, who is probably also true of the rest of the brotes."

"I found this place after arriving in Tokyo at 7pm and feeling the need to just eat and relax. Kiboko is on the 4th floor of a building over Doutor coffee shop, and you have to climb 4 flights of stairs, but it's worth it. It's a small bar overlooking a busy street, and most of the food is finger food intended for sharing, but as a solo traveller I found 2 plates to be a good meal. I had the seitan skewer and the coriander gyoza, plus an organic beer. The flavours were just wonderful, especially the skewer, which I don't recommend for sharing as you'll want to eat the whole thing! The staff are lovely too."

"It 's just ok. It took me forever to find any instant noodles/soup that didn 't have lard or chicken or shrimp in it. Seems like only one brand T 's Noodle and only 2 flavors. Clearly shows on package no meat, no fish, no egg, no milk. Natural Lawson also had some diced fruit and larger soy milk than Family Mart."

"Daiwa Sushi is my go-to tourist choice at Toyosu market. The shop was started in Tsukiji Market by the son of the famous Sushi Dai shop and has since moved to Toyosu Market as of 2018. Their pricing is ~4000¥ which is the same as the father’s shop. Daiwa Sushi serves an omakase chef’s menu that includes 9-piece sushi, a 6-piece roll, a Tamagoyaki (egg), and a miso soup. They source everything fresh daily from the fish market where they’re located, quite literally from boat to table. They will always serve the popular hits including 3 types of Tuna (Otoro, Chutoro, and Akami), Uni (Sea Urchin), and Anago (saltwater eel). The key selling point here is freshness and they deliver, you can tell from the tunas and uni pieces specifically. Each piece is ready to eat, pressed with wasabi inside (they’ll ask you at the start of the meal) and the soy sauce is already painted on before serving. I’ve been here a handful of times both in Tsukiji and Toyosu market and the wait has always been relatively quick compared to Sushi Dai. The longest I’ve ever waited was early morning 8 am for less than 1 hour. However, in my last trip I came late at 11 am expecting a long wait but instead only queued for less than 15 minutes. It seems their busy times come in waves with a low time between their morning and afternoon rush. If you’re looking for a touristy option at Toyosu Market than Daiwa Sushi is the way to go it’s wait is short and the flavor is on par with Sushi Dai. Although they are a tourist hotspot their reputation warrants both the price and the wait time because they have always maintained their quality. Since they moved to Toyosu with the updated shop it feels like their quality has taken a step up. So, if you have an 1-2 hour to burn, I’d recommend giving them a try."

"Sorbet was killer. Avocado toast was ok, nothing special. Coffee was good. Several vegetarian options like cheese toast. But pancakes have eggs. For the price, I’d come for the sorbet and coffee only if I’m in the neighborhood."

"I really liked this. eating is healthy and menu is vegan friendly. I could grab som vegan kimchi from her little corner. none of the desserts is vegan (they contain milk and eggs), so foreseeable when they order a set menu."

"A great culinary experience with an amazing and funny chef who speaks English and delivers an excellent omakase. the fish is exceptionally fresh and expertly prepared. lunch is cheaper than dinner like most of the higher end sushi places in japan. the lunch was all tourist, but all enjoyed their meal and experience."
