"As a Castleford local, I have often passed this cafe but it's either been after it closed or when I've not had time to stop. Today, however, I decided to call in and am glad I did. The staff are very pleasant, my bacon.and mushroom sandwich was cooked to perfection and as a former coffee house manager the quality of the latte gets a big thumbs up from me! Every town has a hidden gem and this is definitely Castleford's! Thank you ladies, I'll definitely be back!"

"The café is located in the wonderful hepworth gallery and offers a wide range of vegans. all marked and imaginative. also available milk based on plants. I had only the warm carrot and fennel salad, but it was wonderful. a lot of taste. I saw some of the other vegan options being brought out and they all looked great. park expensive, but park around the corner in the retail shops and go over for free entry to the museum."

"The place was busy on arrival, (popular) but we were seated straight away. Inside was cosy and clean. Service was fairly quick on ordering to receiving drinks and then our food. We ordered the toasted muffin bacon sausage and poached egg with bearnaise sauce. (See photos) It was spot on. Sausages were incredible, bacon was well done, Egg was cooked to perfection, and I was very impressed. We even got a scone with clotted cream and jam, which was also incredible. It is slightly pricier than other places we've been to, but you get what you pay for, even the drinks were decent sizes. If you're walking around NewMillerdam, I'd highly recommend having a pit stop here. Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian breakfast option on the menu Parking: Parking directly outside, but there's also car parks you can pay for around the corner or otherside of the dam within walking distance. Kid-friendliness: Kids allowed in, treats and goodies for all. Wheelchair accessibility: All on one floor, apart from the toilets which are upstairs, so you would have to use the public toilets next to Newmillerdam."

"Small old fashioned cafe with nets at the windows. Conveniently near the railway station, and spotted a celeb in there early Saturday morning. Eclectic array of furniture and decor pretty basic, but a warm and friendly place with some obvious regulars and plenty of banter. The small breakfast £2.95) comes with coffee, accompanied by hot milk and a barista machine appeared to be involved but it lacked flavour. Baked beans were well cooked, as was egg, bacon and half a tomato, typical breakfast sausage and two slices of limp thin cut buttered toast. Overall, not bad but disappointing. Although cooking was good, flavours were lacking and bacon rasher and egg were a bit on the small side. I guess it's down more to the ingredients sourced than a reflection of the chef, Kevin. With a butcher's shop next door with award winning sausages, and excellent bacon) it's a shame they don't supply the cafe. Reasonably clean and tidy, newspapers to loan. Nearby alternative: Chapter Seven Cafe, or takeaway butty from Hofmann's next door."

"One of the best takeaways in wakefield for this type of food, the chicken parmesan is amazing, and the special huh kebab is to die! had a order mixed, but once I mentioned it, there was no problem that she quickly corrected and had my right food made quick and even gave extra food in any case again"
