"Flavours are good, service was great. The pasta sauces were good themselves I just wished the pasta noodles were more flavourful. And also wished the Eggplant Parmigiana had more eggplant in it, it had lots of mozzarella though so was tasty still. The atmosphere is quite nice and comfortable. Will come back to try other dishes. Went at 5pm when dining room had only a couple of people but then got seated at an awkward 2-person table that was next to the utensil station. I understand this table was probably only placed here for spacing out for Covid precautions but still, the rest of the restaurant was basically empty at the time. The restaurant filled up fast though. So close to 4 stars."

"We stopped here during our Gastown walking food tour and it was one of our favorite spots, so we followed the advice of our guide and had breakfast the next day before getting on our cruise ship. Spectacular! Food is so good and the service is great. Please make it a point to visit this locally owned restaurant."

"Three things I absolutely adore: good food, amazing friends and lovely atmosphere. This past week, La Notte (a wonderful Italian restaurant on Dunbar just south of 16th Avenue, near the UBC campus) had all 3: food that was delicious, across my seat in the same table I had my good friend Erica Hargreave who is one of my best friends, and the atmosphere was just right (although the lighting didn't help my photos, not even in macro). I loved La Notte for so many reasons: the food was excellent, and not extremely expensive (actually, quite inexpensive). The service was spectacular. The pasta they create is perfectly cooked and not overwhelmingly heavy, and they totally spoiled me on my choice of dinner. And it was lovely of my good friend Erica to take me there for dinner (I had been working late at the university), since she was in town just briefly on her way to Ontario. Casual fine dining is yours to enjoy in a Tuscan atmosphere. Well known for its Pasta selections and veal specialties,"

"Ironically, the thing we came here specifically for, we should have made at home. My wife has learned (by carbon copying their menu) how to make OG's Zuppa Toscana soup, and does a damn fine job of it! However, she didn't want to make it today, so the next best thing was to go to the source...right? Well, the soup was just...okay. All the ingredients were there, but the broth seemed watery, and lacking spice. My wife makes a far superior iteration. How does that happen? As for the rest of our visit, well...it was on par for what you'd expect from Olive Garden. We try to avoid big chain restaurants whenever possible; more often than not, they're just not worth it. Flash-frozen, reheated foods; kitschy, soulless décor, a bland and uninspired menu. You get the idea. We were seated immediately, which was a nice change and, as before, we split a Tour of Italy, the aforementioned bowl of the Zuppa Toscana, and of course, salad and breadsticks. Our server, Drew, was competent and attentive, and friendly enough in his interactions with us, although I felt like he was battling a bout of depression at the time. Believe me, I get it, man. I'd probably be depressed if I worked at the Olive Garden, too. Other than the mediocre soup, the food was, all-around, pretty darn good. I'm hoping not to make a habit out of coming here, as there are far better Italian restaurants in the area. But sometimes, you need that fast food Italian fix. It may be the McDonalds of Italian cuisine, but everyone eats (and enjoys) McDonalds, on occasion, whether or not we care to admit it. Call it a guilty pleasure, a moment of weakness, or a white trash extravagance; in the end, the result is the same: we left fat and happy, and with leftovers, despite splitting an entrée. I have no idea how anyone could finish a single order by themselves. Talk about carb overload! I guess that's why diabetes is a thing in this country."

"Trilussa Pizza on Main Street is a one-of-a-kind flatbread pizza. Unique crust seems like it's crunch but still a chewy crust. A variety of toppings make it difficult to make a choice, making it compelling to return to try another combination of veggies and saussage, smoked salmon or cheese. Friendly service.
