"A cute cafe tucked to the side of a garden center. There was an outside garden seating area where people were having their mid-morning coffees. The staff were cheerful and friendly. We ordered the beef burger and the BLT. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the burger and how juicy the patty was. My wife 's BLT came in a 'deconstructed ' form (or maybe it was supposed to be an open sandwich . Herbs in the focaccia bread they used for the BLT was quite overpowering for me. They had Rocket Fuel sauce which was a bonus for us :"

"So my wife and I dropped in for a quick lunch , and had the absolute worst . Took about 10 mins for a waiter to come see us. No water served. Food arrived and was good , but I only got my drink after I had finished my food. The bartender was new so it explains the drinks , but at the same time the rest of the staff did nothing to manage the situation or help or even speak to us. Food was amazing , but I won't be going back there"

"Their food is full of flavour! I didn’t expect that a small cafe in a suburb would be my preferred place for Thai food. They have one Thai option, as far as I know, and it’s amazing. Tandoori chicken in garlic naan. My wife also enjoyed a pulled pork burger. Good coffee too. The only reason they lost a star is the limited seating during lunch hour. There’s not much they can do about it, but guests should be aware. My family had to wait in the cold for our lunch, and then wait for people to leave so we can claim a spot inside."

"Had a great late lunch at Floyds today. It was rather busy when we arrive but we were warmly greeted and promptly show a seat. Although busy the servers quickly arranged a high chair for our 1yo and sorted menus out. They quickly advised of a 20 min wait but they food was well worth it. My French toast with bacon was fantastic, the bread wasn't soggy or overdone at all. My partners pancakes were on par as well. The kids menu was nice and simple and cheap. The thickshakes were actually thick and full of flavour. <br/ <br/ Overall we were very happy with the service and the food, would happily go along again."

"I have lived in Wellington for the past 10 years and this have been the best food experience I had in this town. I only believe that it will be topped by another visit to it. The hosts made us felt like we were at home and provided us with great service and food, no requests was too much we had everything we asked for and more! The food was sensational, a treat to to the palate and is always fresh, the menu is seasonal so my pictures may not represent the current menu but it rather representes the experience and quality of it self. Thanks to the Hippopotamus staff fir helping me arranging my wife’s birthday surprise you guys are awesome."

"Someone suggested I come here for lunch. Ordered the beef burger and a strawberry thick shake. That thickshake was massive couldn’t finish all of it definitely worth the price! The burger was nice and came with fries and aioli again couldn’t finish that either. Good and fast service. Even though they were packed the food wasn’t compromised at all"
