"Staff were pleasant but just not very well trained. Our waiter told us that the tuna steak could only be cooked medium or well done. The Tuna was listed in the grill section of the menu alongside all of the steaks, so he was convinced that it should come with a mushroom even though we requested a salad instead. When he came back from the kitchen he confirmed that we could have it rare with a salad. He then went on to ask us if we wanted the Peppercorn, Bearnaise or Blue cheese sauce with it..... My wife had the tuna it was overcooked. I ordered the smokey venison I was presented with a beautiful platter of rare medallions under a bell jar. The waiter then apologised for the lack of smoke under the bell jar the chef's smoking gun was broken. I should have been told this when I ordered it then he could have left the bell jar in the kitchen! The Venison was delicious just a shame about the lack of smoke I think it would have made it amazing."

"The senior staff/managers here are incredibly rude. We ordered a pot of tea for two and we were given the wrong sized cups. There was not enough tea in the pot to fill one cup. When I questioned this and asked for more tea I was told I cannot control the way you pour tea how would I know the cups were wrong until pouring! I asked to not be charged as we were not given the right order. I was told I had to pay as I had been given the pot of tea. The manager was so incredibly rude and had no customer service skills. Really awful service spend your money in other places in the broadway!"

"This is possibly the best restaurant in all Leigh-on-sea/Southend. I was very impressed by not only the aromen, but the obvious quality of the ingredients. there was no single element of food that was not carefully selected and tasty. it is not easy to eat, so if they are very hungry, this is the place for them. it is small, but right on the water. we felt like on a boat without movement. I was less impressed than personal. they took our order forever, even if she came and asked us three times if we were ready to order (we said all three times) but she would say, "ok! I will get my pad every time" and we wouldn't see it again. they were friendly enough, but so many dinge forgot. we have Arancini balls instead of falafel. but they looked so similar that we started on them and only then realized. we didn't complain because they were delicious and we liked them. but we could have just been disappointed with the wrong order. our waitress then forgot to bring us water, then condiments that we have asked, and then our coffee that my man has never stopped, and to be done with it, they only took cash this day because their machines were down. but they forgot to say so many people, who then had to send someone from the table to hunt a cash machine that wasn't close. I still give them 5 stars, because they're eating for the whole mess with the service, and I'll come back, armed with cash, just for the case."

"The seating area was spacious , most comfortable and after a short while our friendly waitress took our order for the afternoon cream tea this included tasty crustless finger sandwiches , scones with clotted cream and small pots of jam , cakes with macaroons and unlimited pots of tea all most delicious"

"Good moods in this restaurant, tapas food was delicious and delicious. Enjoy the rum crushed sea bass and corn sardines. Also the local desserts Churros and the white chocolate cake were delicious. Right amount of sweetness. The local gold woke Ale went well with the food. Staff happy and friendly. For all needs. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Would go back... Reserve a table when you go, due to its popularity...."
