"The Oakwood has a breakfast/brunch/dinner dish for an array of tastes. Family Easter brunch for eight was easily accommodated (no one wanted to cook ? . we had our stretchy pants on and were looking forward to the eats from others who highly recommended Oakwood. Our table had the Crown burger with fries, Feta, Tomato and Avo eggs benny, chicken chorizo waffles, French toast patty melt and bacon and eggs breakfast. All plates demolished! Delicious and large portions. Coffee was really good I think it is Bob Marley Blue Mountain. Not sure why it took me forever to eat here. Must add to your casual diner eats list. Most definitely will be back. Licensed, with mimosas or breakfast beers if that tickles your fancy. They also sell pre-made meals to go."

"A friend and I went to this Smitty 's for a bite to eat after a day of shopping. We were shown to 2 or 3 tables but another server kept saying oh that table hasn 't been cleaned yet . We finally were shown to a table...that had been cleaned closest to the kitchen, probably so the server wouldn 't have to walk so far. There were several servers at the restaurant, but the only one my friend and I had a problem with was ours. She kept talking, very loudly and about topics that we weren 't interested in. Like the medical problems of one of her co workers (Sarah) (she actually named her co worker). About how another Smitty 's in Southern Manitoba had closed because one of the staff was asymptomatic with Covid 19 and how the bacon in this restaurant was too salty for her taste. We didn 't ask her what she preferred. At one point, this woman (Carrie) actually eavesdropped on a comment my friend made and put her 2 cents worth in. Perhaps if she talked and eavesdropped less and cleaned more tables, we wouldn 't have to be shown to 2 or 3 tables before we were seated. The food was very good but Carrie needs some serious training and/or verbal reprimands."

"After enjoying the Smitty's on Regent we were out on Pembina and thought we would try it there. The gluten free bread was not as good. Very dry. My family enjoyed their meals."

"I often come in and stay for a few hours to work, in between other obligations and could never find a good combination of soft music and semi private seating area. I finally found it, Weekly I go to Smitty's and sit in the corner get served by very friendly staff and drink my pot of coffee, just waiting for the wing special to start. The soft 80's music always playing in the background, and very private setting makes for a perfect combination. Comfortable seating, and did I mention the nice staff that just seem to know when to talk and when to move on to the next table. The wing special is an added bonus, if only selfishly I could request to start just one hour sooner. I have no negative comment, granted I have only ordered wings. Thank you Smitty's."
