"The beer was fine; best in the area by a mile. too many pubs nowadays have poor product from new(ish) microbreweries because they are cheaper the established brews have been elbowed for a higher percentage return. the advent of the so-called craft brews whilst vogue does not adequately replace the older established 'proper ' brews"

"First time last night i had eaten here the food was really nice and plenty of it. The beef pie was so nice and the Spinach &Ricotta Cannelloni was also nice the atmosphere and the ladies who bought our beer and food to the table were very pleasant and made you feel very welcome i will be returning again very soon thank you for making it a great night with our friends Les and Eileen Maltby"

"On Sunday with friends. the food floated in the heavy without taste. Being gluten-free was said to have no gluten free, and was spoken by a woman with bad settings. would not recommend this place. also only 1 very small part of the meat on the plate."

"When we arrived, the premises looked a bit shabby so I was dubious but we received a warm welcome and it was fairly busy- a good sign. There was a good choice of food on the menu( except for vegetarians) and the carvery was excellent. It was incredibly good value for money and in the end, we all enjoyed a delicious, home cooked lunch! Price per person: £10–20"
