"Venezuela/Spanish cafe with arepas, coffees, and churros con chocolate. Came here with a group of five after hiking at Eaton Canyon on a Sunday around 11:30am. Parked at the schoolhouse garage as it was right next to the cafe and is $1 for the first 2 hours. Credit cards accepted. You order/pay at the counter first then pick a table to sit at. Indoor and outdoor dining available. A restroom is available inside. There’s a water dispenser by the side of the restroom too. The arepa was delicious and you can split one between two people for a light lunch. It comes with your choice of coleslaw or salad. They also have sandwiches, and the bread in the panini had a nice texture. We had an order of 12 churros con chocolate to split among the 6 of us, but we already were full from the meal so we only had 1 each."

"Delicious! some of the best homemade pizza crust I've ever eaten. the scallops were amazing and the swarm was just as good as I remember having at flemings. this is a hidden gem and should not be missed. Finally, the service of bruce was perfect when we arrived until we went out of the door. Many thanks for a great experience!"

"A delicious dinner in South Pasadena in a historically important, beautiful, California Craftsman style former home. As the name suggests the history dates back to 1886 which is honestly really cool. It feels really homey and just like a well-designed craftsman in style and function. There is a ton of seating inside and outside and there is also ample parking around on the side streets. They also provide valet but we were able to find a space close. Our server Patrick was also really polite. I started off with the Steak Tartare and it was delicious. Mixing the yolk into the beef was my favorite part. For my entree I chose the Ocean Trout and it was very tasty. The goat cheese accompaniment was delicious with the fish. For dessert we chose the Raymond Classic and it was gone within a few minutes. It was sinfully sweet in the best sort of way. Overall a really nice dinner. I love the vibe of the place as well so it?s the sort of restaurant you will want to stay awhile with your guests. I plan to be back soon."

"Friendly and knowledgeable staff, cozy ambiance and exquisite food. Drinks were also superb! Personal faves are the asparagus fries and mai tai to start, ribeye melt and cioppino, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. My husband and I love it here!"
