"The place was busy on arrival, (popular) but we were seated straight away. Inside was cosy and clean. Service was fairly quick on ordering to receiving drinks and then our food. We ordered the toasted muffin bacon sausage and poached egg with bearnaise sauce. (See photos) It was spot on. Sausages were incredible, bacon was well done, Egg was cooked to perfection, and I was very impressed. We even got a scone with clotted cream and jam, which was also incredible. It is slightly pricier than other places we've been to, but you get what you pay for, even the drinks were decent sizes. If you're walking around NewMillerdam, I'd highly recommend having a pit stop here. Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian breakfast option on the menu Parking: Parking directly outside, but there's also car parks you can pay for around the corner or otherside of the dam within walking distance. Kid-friendliness: Kids allowed in, treats and goodies for all. Wheelchair accessibility: All on one floor, apart from the toilets which are upstairs, so you would have to use the public toilets next to Newmillerdam."

"Called here with my daughter and grandson on Wednesday. They both had toasties, followed by chocolate cupcakes. They enjoyed it all. I called back again today for a coffee and vegan cupcake...Wow is the best word to describe the cupcake. I'm allergic to dairy, which usually means no cake for me...needless to say I will be back. Thank you.. you made my day"

"We were treated to gift vouchers for christmas and decided to use them. we usually get takeaway and take them to eat pugneys, but decided that instead of taking the goodwill twice, we would take the seniors special. we were not disappointed....We have pone to book, but didn't have to because it was almost empty. we had delicious squid and chips, with brot and butter and tee, followed by lemon sponge, though, I was a little disappointed that the Marmelade-Roly-Poly was not available, but it was perhaps just as good as I was pretty crowded by the fish and chips. I couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day. we will definitely be back for this, even without gift vouchers. the staff was very friendly and friendly"

"I visited Fox and Hounds this lunchtime Thursday) with my Cousin. First impressions weren't the best the place looks very run down and if I had seen it before I went I wouldn't have even booked. I wanted the Belly Pork served with Apple Mash but was told they had no MASHED POTATO!, they ran out on Monday!.... really!! They had been closed Tuesday and Wednesday so why did they not have Mashed Potato on the Thursday? I asked what Curry it was and they said they didn't have any. Anyway I had the Belly Pork served with fries instead of Mash. Belly Pork was tough and the Red Cabbage had been murdered in the microwave, not nice at all. Service was fine but the food was definitely not, we will not be returning and certainly not be recommending."

"Went in and looked at the buffet area with not much going on but staff member said they were having problems with the facilities but were topping up so we ordered for the 4 of us. £32 nearly as mushrooms, coffee and juice was extra....Cheap sliced bread white or brown, limited toppings, no waffles (on the menu) , pancakes, or pastries of any kind, no cereals. Hot buffet was topped up with fresh bacon and fried egg, then sausages but the rest looked past its best and was cold. No scrambled and the fried bread was rock hard Had to ask for clean plates and nobody checked in on us. The counter was mucky despite there being more staff than customers. They have a cheap toaster that was on its way out, took ages and burnt the ends but the middle wasn’t toasted! I realise they had problems but this was the 2nd time we have come here for breakfast and been disappointed. We gave up on the carvery ages ago having been regulars as that went the same way nothing cooked, stood for ages and not nice. We won’t be visiting for breakfast again either It’s a shame as it is a nice place but has gone down hill. They just haven’t the footfall for hot buffet and I think just they need to resort to cook to order hot food and have a proper continental selection and working equipment"

"Table booked for 16 people, 3 round tables together gave plenty of room. Plenty of choice on the menu and they did a brilliant job of getting food out to us all as quickly as possible. Food was lovely tasty. If I have any complaints it would be the size of the portion of scampi. Ordered the ultimate plate and only got 9 pieces and around 12 chips with mushy peas. I’ve had larger children’s portions! Other than that it was a lovely relaxed evening with family and all staff was really nice."
