"We booked early and although the restaurant was almost empty the service although charming) was slow. When we wanted a quick lunch, we ordered sandwiches - my friend had a steak sandwich £10) and I had a club sandwich £11). Both were on thick cut sourdough, which was very difficult to cut/cut. My club sandwich was described on the menu as a chicken, egg, salad and bacon, but the egg was thrown and cold, no bacon, but ham, and the salad was tired and limp, so it was tasteless and boring. My friend's sandwich was also subdued with cold steak and sour wort. On the plus side our chips were good! We had both good food at previous visits, and really like the ambience, so it was a shame to find the food so disappointing."

"We stayed at the Bucks Arms for four nights, choosing it because of its convenient location for visiting Blickling Hall and other National Trust properties in the neighbourhood. Our room was spacious, and furnished with a large four poster bed, and it had an equally spacious bathroom running off it. The highlight of our stay was the meals a large full English breakfast in the morning and a first rate dinner in the evening. As other correspondents have reported, the portions here are generous to say the least, and you 'll never go away hungry: after we 'd eaten breakfast, we scarcely needed to buy lunch. In every sense, the Bucks Arms offers excellent value for money. Our criticisms are few and relatively minor. One thing which we both found irritating was the way in which the staff constantly refer to their customers as 'you guys ' as in , for example, 'are you guys ready to order yet? ' or 'Can I get you guys anything? ' We found this mode of address insufficiently respectful. And at breakfast time, it would be good to see a bowl of fruit put out to complement the cereals. Currently, the Bucks Arms is a fruit free zone, which seems odd in a rich agricultural county, and fruit consumption should be encouraged for healthy eating. This criticisms apart, we have nothing but praise for the Bucks Arms, and we would happily stay there again."

"Aylsham Farm Coffee Shop is a place where you can get a nice cup of tea and cake The day I went it was very quiet but i suspect it is quite busy at weekends"

"We stayed two nights for a visit to The Polar Express. Arrived Friday night and had dinner in the restaurant really good quality food and the staff were wonderful. We were shown to our family room which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, although some fruit and child friendly cereal options would have been good. But what we had was very good quality again. Would definitely stay again"
