"Sounded nice enough from the outside and had a decent hygiene rating (5 i think) so in we went. Every single table had used plates/cups on. We found the cleanest moved the cups to a different table and wiped with a napkin. Went to order pancakes (they were on the menu) to be told (rather abruptly and without apology) that there were none. The staff were all so miserable! We had apple pie and a luxury hot chocolate instead. After the age it took to arrive it was very disappointing. The apple pie was passable and edible but the hot chocolate was absolutely revolting. Tasted like dish water We will not be returning here"

"Had a walk down to Canal view cafe especially for breakfast after reading other reviews, have to say we were not disappointed! £4 for a full English breakfast and the quality was spot on. Big mugs of tea and nice coffee selection. The staff are so nice and very welcoming. Nice outdoor area over looking the Canal."
