"Loves this caffe. now I have to do on my annual holiday in the opposite. the English breakfast we had visited at a previous one is all they would expect. this time was a light lunch and cake to take away. portions are generous and good. worth for money. to eat full cake in and they were too fabulous, not in the special crates they had ready to take. they are clearly used for people who want to do this. the personal was really nice and looked at us well."

"This family-run pension is ace. the guests are welcome, the room was functional and comfortable, the bed was as good as I experienced in any hotel. the breakfast was very good, well cooked and beautifully presented. in all difficult to mistake."

"We were looking of somewhere for coffee and scones with friends and found this lovely cafe just over the bridge at Chollerford. What we found was a wonderful display of home baking in the form of pies, cakes, and other lovely treats. We had the Ploughman’s sausage roll and wow, what a lovely filling it was. Generous and very tasty. Prices are also very reasonable so all in all a great find and one that we will definitely revisit when we are visiting Wark next time. Well worth a visit if passing or living close bye."

"Stopped for breakfast on our way home from Kielder and so glad we did! We got a lovely welcome and ordered Full English Breakfasts and a Luxury Hot Chocolate for our son. Everything was cooked well and tasted lovely, lovely big pot of tea and the Hot Chocolate got a thumbs up too! Well worth a visit if you're in the area"

"First visit in a good while and left underwhelmed. Not at all as I remembered it. What a beautiful space to serve light lunches, cakes and of course Earl Grey Tea. I wanted china tea cups, tradition and copious amounts of lovely hot tea. What I got was a plastic flask and motorway services crockery. Such a shame that quality loose leaf tea should served like this. Very glad it wasn 't an 'occasion '. The experience felt more like a fuel stop so we didn 't stay long and only had a cheese scone instead of lunch. Please bring back the table service, china tea cups and elegance to reflect the surroundings and make a memorable visit. What a missed opportunity to have a tearoom that stands out from the crowd. The toilet facilities are very much in need of a refurb."
