"Food was not to my taste. The beef sandwich had far too much chutney put all over it better served on a side plate. The salad garnish was drowned in overpowering dressing. The noise from a childrens group upstairs w as deafening. Altogether not a good dining experience."

"Not been here before was very pleasantly surprised beautiful decoration and new tables and chairs his not what they might think of by. we had good portions (sausage eibarm with (apparently! small pieces of chips. all well cooked and served by very nice staff member thanks!"

"Basils have just hosted the wedding reception for my mum and her new husband and were absolutely brilliant, can not credit the staff enough for all of their efforts throughout the evening. The food was delicious, worth what you pay and more!! (Huge portions), great for all of the hungry guests who attended, they catered for the babies that came as well. They also hosted tea and cake upstairs with a member of staff playing some songs and were very patient and understanding with the mess and the toys for the little ones. All in all a lovely end to a wonderful day. Special thanks to chef Dave and the owner Steve for their hospitality. Thank you from Amanda and Michael Harvey."
