"The cook is amazing and hopefully my new friend. The food is subtle, nuanced, well balanced and a taste dances on its palate. The presentation on most dishes is architectural and accentuated with colors that overlook the plate. CALL AHEAD and get reservations, the cook only makes a small sitting a few nights a week and they are currently booked in advance. You had a last minute of cancellation and sniffing me in. It's BYOB, a decent wine shop is a few hundred meters away. The Prix-fixe menu changes monthly. After talking to the cook for some time, she's a FORCE. Your food is excellent. It is constantly improving. She has the highest goals and I have a high confidence she will achieve. P.S. I rarely write reviews. I've eaten up in Chicago, New York and San Fran restaurants. I'm not pretentious, but I love taste, presentation and people. This place has all three and more. I could write a book, or at least a script about my epic experience, but instead I highlighted the review worthy because who wants to read a 5-point essay."

"Z's has been around a long time and we forgot about it. So we decided to celebrate birthdays here the other night. Low key, very nice food and quiet environment where you can actually talk to friends. The calamari was some of the best we've had in the city. Still has great Caesar salad made table side. Everyone loved their food and service was quietly professional"

"The food was simply delicious! Our family ordered the filet, the salmon, the chicken and the short ribs. Each one was spectacular! Sides were also good and we started with escargot and Brussel sprout appetizers (just ok). The atmosphere was cozy, but a little loud. Our waiter was terrific didn't rush us, recommended items, etc. We would definitely go again next time we are in Louisville."

"It was a very enjoyable evening. Our water Jared was excellent. The food was a very good experience. We enjoyed the pork chop and the lamb chops. The lyonnais salad, and the bread pudding for dessert."

"I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. I always tell people how great this place is and no one has ever been! Men: do yourself a favor and take your lady here on a special night. My best tip. Order the skillet mushroom appetizer. Even if you don’t like mushrooms it’s the best thing on the menu! I would still be happy if I paid twice as much for the meal."
